not to be callous, but how is a "barrel bomb" different from a "bomb"? They both explode and kill people, no?

Wait, didn't they just say it was "rebel" held? As in whoever these "rebels" are was the reason the bomb was dropped. No "rebels" no bomb.

< The only difference is that the Military Industrial Complex can't their profits from these barrel bombs. >

Got it. I guess this is typical media attachment of an adjective to something in order to try and paint it as somehow worse because it suits their own reporting bias. So "barrel" bomb, "loony" for anyone a bit leftwing etc. Kind of Daily Mail style reporting.

21 people killed - 2 children - 4 women = 15 men.

It would be interesting to see the ages and nationalities of those 15 men. I bet the bulk of them were military age, and if it included foreigners...also a damn good bet they weren't "civilians" at all.

Now that the Syrian Army is getting reinforcements and air support from Russia, I hope they can employ more precise aviation ordnance and cut down on dropping their improvised (and inaccurate) barrel bombs.

...attacks by Syrian regime helicopters killed at least 21 civilians...

...a monitoring group of ISIS said.

End of story.

Women and children were ISIS militants as well.

Highly unlikely. Russian military has never been particularly mindful about avoiding civilians casualties.

@Kaerimashita I think there is also the notion that "our boys" would never use such "vile" barrel ordinance. Our bombs kill women and children more "humanely".

Stay away from ISIS and Al Qaida rebel fighters.

@Burning Bush And go where? Using what mode of transportation?

Did you read about the boats sinking? Or the barbed wire fences? Should they go hide in the woods and live off truffles?
