Beijing and many part of China be too cold and too dirty for me so me just stay away from that country and me hope that the nasty PM 2.5 crap flying all over China does not come to Japan, cough, cough cough!!

Insulated house, layers of wool and down clothing, mask self-humidify breathing air, hot food and chewing stimulate metabolism - healthier way to beat the cold

I lived there for years - and survived. I NEVER want to go back to this hell, in which all the Chinese tell you: Don't worry, this is river-mist!

This whole nation is brainwashed!

The Chinese are seriously screwing up their cities. They had better start clamping down on air polluters.

In comparison, PM2.5 reading of over 50 is considered bad for health! I suppose 10 times that amount is black lung territory. Like other countries, when the science gets too tough, they move the goal posts

500? 600? 1,000? Bejing and surrounding cities are basically being made to be unfit for human habitation.

China seems to be a dying country as all kinds of pollutions are killing people. It also seems they can't do anything better. Pollutions rather get much worse everyday.

Ah, so this is why China is antagonizing Japan so much, to distract from the atrocious pollution levels. Not working very well is it? Less arguing over islands you have no claim over, less getting in a flap over visiting shrines, and more enviromental reforms and emissions slashing.

if you are interested in Chinese Renewal Energy policy, you can go to their government website.

Only problem is Chinese government does not allow your computer protection. They are backward. I did not care so I read it.

My finding is that China needs to spend more money in this research and development instead of spending money on military expansion.

Stay at home and close down the factories-it'll be here in a week or two........

The TV news reported that the airports were shutdown because they couldn't operate safely. Now that's bad.

The Mainland Chinese government needs to do something about this problem. All of those Chinese people getting sick makes me sad. It is the duty of any government to protect its citizens.

China is not doing anything to a Global Warming and possible respiratory related lung cancer.

World health scientists are now focusing on poor air quality of China and Fukushima radiation problems that may contribute to possible cancer rate increase in near future.

The only way I would visit China is with a tank of Oxygen and a respirator.

Beijing is surrounded on 3 sides by mountains, and that traps smog. The fact it is also a transportation hub makes the current situation.

Is China moving ahead with green energy technologies? Please let me know with weblinks if possible. Thanks.

The world tourists are avoiding China as a vacation destination all together.

This is what you get when you put money over lifestyles the Chinese will kill themselves! They have no environmental laws period! They have no concept of mother earth and what she does to take care of us. The rich have all the factories instead of disposing waste properly they dump waste and pesticides into the very same rivers they drink and eat from not even thinking about the short or long term impact. The factories smoke stacks spew burnt residue like there is no tomorrow into the air and they wonder why they can't breath. The poor who can't get out so they are fed these crazy stories and led to believe that Japan will attack China. No fools the POLLUTION IS ATTACKING your worst enemy!!! Wake up before its too late!

You reap what you sow. It's just a shame everyone has to suffer for the profit of the few. Going to cost a whole lot more in the long run to try and make it right, but that probably won't happen.

China had better be careful. If you poison the habitat where you live, you'll eventually be unable to live there.

The pollution is being fueled by foreign need for cheap goods. Foreign companies are making immense profit from the suffering of the Chinese people. The mainland Chinese government has its own reasons to support this crime. A way to ease their suffering is not to buy anything from mainland China.
