Why dont they just build a huge wall around the while country and isolate themselves from the world. Japan and many places worldwide without the throngs of uncouth Chinese tourists is a much nicer place to be .

Agreed. Long may they be locked down. I'm hoping to cram as much in before they're let loose again. They are the world's worst tourists.

The pressures and problems keep accumulating in China. Tibet, Xinjiang and the Uyghurs, Inner Mongolia, Hong Kong, failing demographics, real estate crash due in part to a declining population leading to reduced demand for housing combined with gross overproduction, prohibiting abortions, their social credit system, fearful neighbors aligning themselves militarily against China, forcing tech giants out of the companies they built, and now locking whole cities down by brute force. Baby Ping Ping keeps adding more sharp knives to his juggling act. When does he drop one and poke himself, perhaps fatally? When do the Chinese act on the first verse of their national anthem?
