Packaged fish in the US have tracking barcodes which can usually be traced back to the origin where it was originally processed. That can be a boat or a processing location.

This is a step.

Accountability is important for everyone.

Good luck with that SpongeBob.

They've been doing this for decades, you think they're going to listen to YOU?

Argentina has the right idea, when the ships are caught fishing illegally, they are used for target practice.

Check YouTube.

The Chinese fishing industry, as with most things in China, is merely an extension of the State....

The CCP has for years used its massive fishing fleets to flood areas it considers its domain - the South China Sea and areas around Taiwan and the Senkakus...

It uses its Coast Guard fleet to accompany and protect all these excursions...

Its not just a business activity - its an extension of China's hegemony and effort to expand its territory...

Any Chinese fishing vessels in other nation's territorial waters or EEZs need to be boarded and inspected. Chinese fishing boats can be PLA Navy Maritime Militia and if so determined needs to be treated as a military ingress into other nation's waters.

That China is the world's largest consumer of fish taken worldwide, often in other nation's waters is practically a secondary issue to this threat.

A Fijian friend of mine complains that China parks a processing ship and several trawlers in waters just outside its EEZ and gobbles up any fish that crosses that line.

There is an image on gCaptain showing a Fijian law enforcement team deploying from the deck of a US Coast Guard Cutter to inspect a foreign fishing vessel inside the Fijian EEZ as part of this new US effort.
