Can he actually beat Kamala or Mayor Pete or Bernie for the nomination? None of them have any chance against Trump. Michelle is gonna have to step up.

Biden’s a nice guy, but he is a man from a different era, something that even he has admitted when he discusses the changing cultural mores. It is time to pass the torch to a new generation that has a longer perspective on world and national affairs. In particular, millennials are desperately concern about global warming, a notion that today’s conservatives refuse to even entertain.

Millennials are also much more concerned about gun violence, and can see through the obfuscations from the gun lobby; and for affordable, comprehensive, and universal healthcare, something they see working extremely well across the developed world. It's time for the millennials to step up.

It's time for the millennials to step up.

I agree. Hopefully democracy prevails within the Democratic Party and this time the Party elite do not force their own candidate, like they did with Hillary.

universal healthcare, something they see working extremely well across the developed world.

With countries less populated as the US, something that would completely bankrupt the US, Obamacare has already proved to be a financial mess. Universal healthcare would be a morphed on steroids disastrous version of that.

It's time for the millennials to step up.

Most millennials aren't yet old enough to be president.

AOC, for example, won't even qualify for 2024.

He would make the most sense. That’s why he won’t win, Dems are having a contest to see who is the most radical, virtue signaling, identity politics person they can find.

old moderate non gay non ethnic male. Nah, that won’t work.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

@blacklble Dems are having a contest to see who

is best suited to pull the country out of the messes Trump and the presidents who came before him have made.

Gens Y and Z and to a lesser extent X, are inheriting a nation that's long been sinking. They're the ones forced to deal with the problems left over.

Of course aging baby boomers as well as those representing the .01% will continue to have their say, but hopefully younger people representing the full spectrum of the US population will have even greater say.

By the way, by saying someone is 'virtue signaling', are you in fact doing the same thing, i.e. virtue signaling?

And by saying someone is using 'identity politics', are you doing the same thing?

Love ya, Joe, but it's time to go.

Nope I’m not the one saying someone is white, male and not gay so they can’t be president.

That’s the progressive wing of the Dem party, who are now your leaders.

im fine with Biden. Your voters are too, but your party isn’t.

Uncle Joe is just setting up a campaign that he can hand over to Michell Obama at the right time. Uncle Joe will "get sick" or hate himself for being white and nominate Michell to carry on for him.

Biden isn’t the candidate to win the next election. Needs a younger unknown.

More younger and more unknown than Mayor Pete?

Love ya, Joe, but it's time to go.

Why? He's still in good health, he doesn't support the nuts New Green Deal, he's affectionate...

It's time for the millennials to step up.

Mayor Pete!!!

He just has no “heat”. Not female or black or millionaire socialist or “Native American” or gay or fake Hispanic skateboarder.

Mostly known for being kinda creepy and not understanding personal space. But he’s ahead in the polls.

@blacklabNot female or black or millionaire socialist or “Native American” or gay or fake Hispanic skateboarder.

More identity politics. I think it's difficult for many US Americans whose demographic is aging and waning - though still dominant - to accept that those outside their demographic are increasing in number, and because they are Americans can claim it's their country, too.

Many in the dominant demographic seem to fear the 'others' having equal rights. Which they do. After all, the others having equal rights means members of the dominant group can no longer consider themselves superior.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

I don’t know, something about Biden just rubs people the wrong way.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

And who is this dominant group you speak of? It’s definitely not white straight males. Those are considered negatives in the Dem circus to pick a candidate.

Those are considered negatives in the Dem circus to pick a candidate.

Perhaps for those who only see the world in binary terms. Or for those hung up on identity politics. Or those who want to view themselves and others in their demographic as victims.

hundreds of articles explaining Dem party insistence about identity politics. Why are you judging people by skin color and gender?

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

compared to those that have multiple affairs payoff women to keep it a secret and grabs them by the pu$y, I don't thnk Biden really is that bad.

You may not think it, but a lot of women that were under his messaging fingers did.

Seems a little hypocritical for republicans to even bring it up.

No, I think they have every right to bring it up and slam him every chance they get.

@blacklable Why are you judging people by skin color and gender?

From @blacklabel's post this thread:

old moderate non gay non ethnic male.

Not female or black or millionaire socialist or “Native American” or gay or fake Hispanic skateboarder.

 white straight males.

Examples of identity politics from the dominant demographic.

PTownsend,

admittedly we do live in bizarre times culturally, but could you explain your logic?

By your logic, saying someone is, eg, a marathon runner makes me a marathon runner too.

I dont get it.

Or is this another ploy from the left to muzzle criticism?

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

I think Trump vs Biden would be interesting but, as others have pointed out, Joe isnt gonna get the support of the neo marxists now dominating the Democrat party.

Some posters deride others for using 'identity politics' while they themselves are using identity politics. Hi pot kettle.
