See? Likely Not going again.

If she does- it’s for personal benefit, against the recommendation of our military.

I haven’t read the purpose of such a trip that would require Pelosi.

Don’t Biden or Blinken care enough to go instead?

guess Taiwan doesn’t have oil to grovel for?

It would be a symbolic show of Congressional support for Taiwan. She would not be the first US legislator to visit Taiwan this year (and nothing bad happened) and if you know your history you would know Newt Gingrich made the same trip when he was Speaker of the House for the same reason. I hope she goes. Let Baby Ping Ping get his diaper in a bunch.

I believe Newt Gingrich didnt make the trip just to start conflict.

He in fact went there to try to make a BETTER relationship with China.

Not as you so eloquently put it to make "Baby Ping Ping get his diaper in bunch"

that would be a childish and dangerous reason to make an unnecessary trip.

Like we dont have enough problems in the world that Biden cant handle, lets send Nancy to go mock China and create a new problem.

Who comes up with this stuff?

I think she should go. So should the Senate leadership. Make it clear to Beijing that no matter who the President may be the US Congress, both houses and both major parties, are going to defend Taiwan. Too bad if China is upset. If it were my call we'd embargo trade and travel with China altogether, prohibit any amount of Chinese content in goods assembled anywhere else, close all consulates and restrict each nation to a limited number of people in each embassy. Ban Chinese flagged, Chinese owned but flagged elsewhere and Chinese built ships owned by anyone from US waters too (to force shippers to buy from Japanese, Korean and European yards instead of from China). Same for Chinese made aircraft if the day ever comes they have commercial jets that cross oceans. China is an enemy. Stop being afraid of them. The US will be around long after the CCP has collapsed.

Not this administration, they would laugh at them, China does, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Venezuela, NK and Cuba as well.

I hope Pelosi goes. Anything the reinforces US support for Taiwan is a good thing.
