Good luck Joe; hope you can out something together after 40 years in Washington.

Inherited the problem from Trump. Increase in violence and gun homicides. 400 million guns.

Yeah--people bought 400 million guns during the Trump administration.

The worry over crime is real: It has created economic hardship, displacement and anxiety. But there are also tricky politics at play. The spike in crime has become a Republican talking point and has been a frequent topic of conversation on conservative media.

Or maybe, just hear me out, it is the other way around. The economic hardship, displacement and anxiety of living under oligarchical late stage capitalism are the leading causes of crime.

Well, talking about it, defunding the police, restricting the police from doing their jobs, not standing behind them, not allowing for them to have any protection, eliminating ICE and not allowing them to do their jobs, not sealing the border, not enforcing catch and release, zero tolerance for illegals violating our sovereign nation, not allowing CBP to do their jobs, not completing the wall, not going after the violent gangs, allowing for early release of convicted violent felons, unwilling and refusing to aggressively target crimes in the most violent cities, refusing to put wokeness and political correctness aside, not giving all the tools police need to combat crimes, treating cops as the enemy, unwilling to aggressively prosecute and remove violent illegals, detaining them, incarcerate and sending them back, zero tolerance for anyone attacking or injuring a police officer as well as interfering in police business, force stricter penalties for anyone not following a police officers command when ordered to do so.

If Joe can push for this as well as Democrat leaders that are hit the hardest with crime that they oversee but do absolutely nothing and if he (Joe) as well as the Democrats are truly serious about stopping crime, they will stop crime, at least significantly decrease it the way Giuliani did in New York City, anything less is just talk and window dressing, nothing more.

Great idea. "Zero tolerance for interfering in police business" can be easily used as an excuse to stop the filming of police officers which has exposed a great deal of their abuse of power in the last few years.

Gun numbers increased in the U.S. for decades, while crime steadily fell. Then, in the last year of the Trump administration, crime started to rise in association with protests which, in part, were protesting Biden’s 1994 crime bill. That violence has continued to rise, largely in heavily Democratic urban centers, as lockdowns lift, in no small part because the protests convinced various mayors and city councils to defund and/or revamp their police departments. Effective policing was thrown out the window, and rising violence and crime is the obvious consequence.

Good luck to Biden and Democrats trying to fix the problem. It’s largely one of their own creation, with obvious solutions, except that Democrats are ideologically and politically hamstrung by progressives from adopting those obvious solutions.

You mean just like he “fixed” the border, with all the cartels, sex traffickers, and other criminals coming in?

The gig is almost up, Joe, people are finally opening their eyes.

You can always sort things out after, you can file a complaint, get the officers name, but if you insist and think you can take on the cop, you will always lose. I was taught this as a teenager and I have encountered a-hole cops before and went after them later and got results, being ignorant and combative won’t help.

This is a prime example of what happens to idiots that think they don’t need to follow a cops orders.

Kind of ironic how crime in inner cities has exploded since BLM convinced half the country that every cop is a racist.

Ironic would be thinking that an organization like BLM is responsible for this, and not the proliferation of camera technology, a rise in racially motivated crime and economic disparities not seen since the Gilded Age.

Gun homicides

2017: 16,000 gun homicides

2018: 13,958 gun homicides.

2019: 15,292 gun homicides.

2020: 19,223 gun homicides. Record increase.

So Trump comes into office with rising gun homicides after the Obama/Biden administration. Those homicides DROP below that rate the next TWO years. And then during the BLM, defund the police, woke movement they rise.

Ok, I get the picture. Thanks for the stats.

More rambling platitudes and more spending that will achieve nothing…. Few things might help. End war on drugs. Stop promoting useless educational policies. Promote family cohesion. Create jobs.

Too Many Guns + Too Many Foolish People = Danger! Danger!

Best to fix both of them or at least one of them.

This is what gets me about progressive democrats:

Nah, what actually "gets you" is just too much fox news misrepresenting and baselessly demonizing every slightly left idea, and not enough reality. Of course you think progressive democrats are insane when you only see them through the spectrum of Carlson and Pirro.

Despite the massive disparity in population, blacks felons outnumber the whites in crimes like manslaughter, robbery, and illegal gambling.

Cherry picking stats is fun!

While Caucasian males account for the disproportionately vast majority of school and mass shootings, serial murder, white collar crime and wage theft:

Crime goes up and down and no one really knows why.

Nah, what actually "gets you" is just too much fox news misrepresenting and baselessly demonizing every slightly left idea, and not enough reality.

And every stat they point out is backed up, everyone, the problem is, Dorsey and Zuckerberg can’t block the facts and information on FNC and this is why both a ratings smashers, because people want to hear other news besides Trump, Jan. 6 and QAnon 24/7 with hypnotic effect. Not one single liberal media outlet will talk about these issues and as long as they refuse to, nothing will change in these communities, nothing. Even the richest blacks in the US don’t live anywhere near other blacks, they all live in the safest whitest cities. Take your pick, LeBron, Oprah, Will Smith, Don Lemon, Maxine Waters all live in safe White neighborhoods with heavy police presence. These people can live wherever they want, but the hypocrisy from them it’s just mind-boggling, the champion and demand justice and unity within the black community, but at the same time, they don’t want to live anywhere near the black community, more contradictions.

Crime goes up and down and no one really knows why

No, we know why. The bigger question is, what is Joe going to do about it, get aggressive on crime? Giuliani did or will he just talk and talk and hope people will just ignore or forget? Again, this is further helping the GOP going forward.

when its real, then it should be a "talking point".

But the term talking point is media code for anything they want to pretend isnt real. so they dont seem overly concerned if Biden only talks and doesnt actually do anything.

Biden pushes effort to combat rising tide of violent crime

Going to be tough to do that Joe when you have the far-right media preaching hate and grievance to the cult 24/7...

Then you have states like Texas who pass laws allowing anyone to carry a gun without any training or background check...

It's the "Old West" again in red states...settle your differences with a .45...didn't get cream cheese on your bagel? Pull your piece...

Absolute craziness...

@dagon: Ironic would be thinking that an organization like BLM is responsible for this, and not the proliferation of camera technology, a rise in racially motivated crime and economic disparities not seen since the Gilded Age.

There is no rise in racially motivated crimes against black citizens - slavery and Jim Crow are long gone. There is however a rise in crimes against Jews and Asians in Dem run jurisdictions across the country. As for economic disparities- there are more middle class or above black citizens than at any time in American history. In fact, black people are likely more economically secure in America than in any other nation in the world.

The Left keeps pushing this racial carnage narrative that only causes more political conflict. Divide and conquer appears to be the strategy.

Antifa, BLM protestors, and woke culture proponents are preaching peace, love and understanding---or else we will loot, rob, burn and pillage your cities.

Perfect - thank you. Couldn't have posted a better example of the far-right media hate machine's lies and propaganda....most from Russia....

And we have a winning solution to the problem - blame the CCP, the Russians, North Korea, global warming - whatever you can think of and it'll sure work!

Not everyone blames them....one person said;

“Intelligence officials in the briefing responded that that was not consistent with any of the intelligence our government possesses,” said McCabe in the interview. “To which the president replied, ‘I don’t care. I believe Putin.’

And you could hardly see the strings being pulled when he said it...

thought for a moment I was reading an article about Japan....

someone care to try to explain to me how this crime rate has nothing to do with Biden and he somehow isnt responsible? or do we all agree that Democrats need to take some legislative action?

What's all this focus on Biden by the Trump supporters?

Mike Lindell has just guaranteed Trump will be back as President by this Fall....

Mike Lindell Says Donald Trump Will Be Back in Office 'By This Fall, For Sure'

I assume all the Trump supporters here agree with this, right?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Very true. Russia are definitely fomenting crime in the US. Also legacy of Orange’s failed policies. And most gun crimes are committed by legal gun owners.

McCabe, the man that tried to take out a sitting President, yes,

let’s use him as a credible witness of valuable source of information. ROFL

Bur I’m more concerned what Joe will do, talking is not like big spray or maybe that’s what he thinks, it will contain our adversaries.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

The small brained gun loving crowd will defeat any move to curb the easy flow of guns across the US.
