dismissing it as “fake news” at a press conference, but he has provided no evidence to refute it.

'No evidence', another term to add to Trump's legacy.

request for a $72 million refund in 2010 by claiming a questionable $1.4 billion worth of losses in 2008 and 2009.

US$1.4 billion, $1,400,000,000 in LOSSES? Looooooser!

Trump is fine with his taxes. They are nobody’s business but his own. If the IRS is too incompetent to ensure that billionaires aren’t lawfully paying their taxes then that is only proof that government is incompetent. Tax law is a joke because politicians use it to give benefits to wealthy donors. The fact that GE paid zero taxes for years due to renewable energy subsidies and write offs is criminal.

All that matters now is that Trump put three conservative Supreme Court justices on the court in a single term. Trumps accomplishments are far and away greater than any conservative could dream was possible. Cut taxes. No new wars. Better trade policies. Republicans just need to file lawsuits for the next four years to stymie the radicals that control the Democrat party. Then Ambassador Haley will beat Kremlin Karmala in 2024 and get America back on the right track again.

Undoubtedly, the Bidens have benefitted greatly from our country, but they have also given back. Trump, however, simply takes.

Biden took five draft deferments- one more than Trump. He has done a lot for himself - his support for segregation and his use of government aircraft and other resources to enrich his son says he has done little for the country.

A failed businessman turned a successful nation into a failed nation.

The real question is who does Trump owe this $300 million+ that is due in full a few years from now?

Is it foreign entities? Is it Russian entities?

Stay tuned. This is going to be interesting. The New York Times says this is only the beginning and there are more revelations to come soon.

And yet, the same bots will be supporting Trump. Watch what they say. They're predictable. Trump could owe this money to Russians and they'd still support him. I wonder why that would be?

Another day, another Biden obsession with Trump's personal matters.

Biden has shown "0" potential to lead the USA.

Meanwhile, even if it looks like Trump is struggling (particularly with all the setbacks the courts has handed him), at least Trump is wrestling with China, China is what's occupying the minds of people all over the world.

IMHO, Trump is looking much more likely he'll get a second term each and every day. Biden on the other hand might get a signed photo of Trump for all his obsession.

-12 ( +6 / -18 )

Trump could owe this money to Russians and they'd still support him.

Numerous pro-Trump posters, several claiming to be 'American', have long been Russian supporters, parroting internet research agency trolls saying things like 'If Hillary doesn't do what Russia wants she'll start WW3!', among others. Some are born totroll for pay, others 'American' 'journalists'. LOL

How the hell do you lose over a billion dollars?

Biden releases 2019 tax returns ahead of debate with Trump

That has been a given for decades. Thanks to Trump’s dishonesty, it is now deserving of a headline. He’s lowered the bar.

What headlines can we look forward to in future? Candidate asks his supporters to watch a sex tape which actually exists?

3 ( +8 / -5 )

So what was the tax rate on Hunter’s 3.5 million dollar payment from the Russians?

-7 ( +8 / -15 )

Trumps accomplishments are far and away greater than any conservative could dream was possible. Cut taxes. No new wars. Better trade policies.

3 arrows? I think he achieved a personal best there on the first one. The second was dumb luck and the cooler heads of others despite all his pathetic sabre rattling. The third, much more disputable but basically the same as the second.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

See, here they are.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

It will be interesting to see how the fraud occupying the White House will react to Biden’s release of his 2019 tax return.

I believe it will be with insults ... that’s the way the narcissist, whose inferiority complex is as big as his oversized ego, will attempt to deflect the issue.

Hopefully the subject of his massive debt to foreign concerns will come up at the debate.

Make the USA Sane Again.

I have a hard time believing that the man who donates his entire $400,000 salary every year is "stealing" from the American taxpayer.

-13 ( +6 / -19 )

“The Times reported that Trump has, in fact, been under audit from the IRS”

-8 ( +6 / -14 )

I have a hard time believing that the man who donates his entire $400,000 salary every year is "stealing" from the American taxpayer.

I don’t doubt you do.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

“The Times reported that Trump has, in fact, been under audit from the IRS”

And that’s important because?

Anyway, you’re believing newspaper journalism now?

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Is it foreign entities? Is it Russian entities?

This would be a decent argument if the US itself were not in debt to the tune of trillions to Communist China. No one knows what Trumps true tax situation is except for Trump and the IRS. No one who has seen the NY Times propagate lie after lie about Russia collusion should take any late election attack seriously. It has now come out that the Clinton campaign informed Obama about the attacks on Trump and her Russia collusion narrative. Meanwhile the the CIA was suppressing intelligence about Russian support for Hillary. The NY Times is suddenly unable to pursue the Russia story now that it’s prove that they were pushing political propaganda for Hillary’s campaign.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

So what was the tax rate on Hunter’s 3.5 million dollar payment from the Russians?

Ah, Hunter - The name that must never be mentioned.

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

I have a hard time believing that the man who donates his entire $400,000 salary every year is "stealing" from the American taxpayer.

Over the last 4 years Trump has donated his entire salary $1.6 million to the US Treasury. How much of Biden’s income has he given?

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

You people will never learn that you cannot take the high road if you support Trump. How many times has Trump flown to his own properties to golf on the taxpayer’s dime? How about his children flying around bilking the taxpayers?

Hmmm, Trump was audited a few times and the IRS is no friend of Trump's and if there were ANY red flags, they would have nailed him, so if one of the worst and most corrupted agency in the US can't find any wrongdoing for some reason Biden can. He used the existing laws the way they were written and people like Soros, Styer, Bloomberg and thousands of Hollywood and rich people use, even Apple and Amazon use them. Why would I not? I would never just throw my money away if I'm not guaranteed a return on my investment, that's just nuts. Trump briefly explained this before back during the debates in 2016 and now here we are AGAIN. But if the Dems want to continue to beat a dead horse, go for it and try and find something illegal because the IRS sure didn't.

President Biden, Ex President Trump,

It will be sad that Biden will be the next president. The newly woke corporate America has been pushing hard for Harris/Biden’s neo-Marxist agenda. As-long-as the Republicans don’t score an own goal in the Amy Coney Barrett confirmation battle with Schumer’s anti-religious bigots America should be fine.

To tax, or not to tax, that is the question:

Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer

The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,

Or to take arms against a sea of troubles

And by opposing end them

Trump is going down!

0 ( +5 / -5 )

@Maria: This is untrue.

Check what you write before you write it, and stop repeating your mistakes after checking the facts, otherwise you become a liar.

When Trump announced his decision to forgo a salary, critics expressed doubt because presidents are required to be compensated for their work. To get around this, Trump takes $1 each year from his paychecks.

Maria, so I didnt mention that, of necessity, Trump accepts one dollar a year in presidential salary. And according to you that makes me “a liar“.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

No one is allowed to release and publish another’s tax returns.

Good thing they weren't published amiright?

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Okay, let's add this: the records show Trump has never donated a penny in charity. As a matter of fact, his "Trump Foundation" was shuttered by the IRS and the courts and fined millions of dollars for using donations supposedly for children with cancer to enrich themselves and pay for champagne dinners for themselves and political events.

Trump does not "donate" his salary. He has written some checks for about 1/4 of it to federal agencies, which by the way, is against the law.

He is profiting by having government meetings and employees stay at Trump properties. Heck read about the Qatar fiasco at Trump Tower - more empty offices leased by foreign governments at Trump Tower to gain favors from the State Department and affect public policy towards foreign governments.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

P. Smith - You people will never learn that you cannot take the high road if you support Trump.

You're talking about politics. During the last few months of political campaigning. And you're talking about taking the high road??? This is known as "the silly season" in the U.S.. Political parties are known to make bizarre, UNPROVEN, and silly claims at this point in time knowing that the news media outlets will repeatedly question the candidates about whatever issue the latest political rumors/claims/attacks revolve around.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

$288,000 Vs $750.00 it make you wonder who does Trump reports to, and how did he ever manage to be an American?

1 ( +5 / -4 )

Your turn, Donald. What, you're going to release them in two week's time? Like you're going to tell us about your beautiful health care plan in two week's time?

wolfpack:

Trump is fine with his taxes. They are nobody’s business but his own

I'm sure you'd say the same thing if Biden kept his tax returns a secret. Or even Obama. Oh wait.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Trump Paid ZERO $ in federal income taxes for 10 out of 15 years he reported, while the average WORKING American paid about $2,500, this is what Tax evasion looks like.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

How anyone can excuse and endorse this behavior shows a total lack of ethics and morals. You can condemn the actions and still say that you don't want a Democrat in the White House. You could say he's unfit and should drop out of the race.

But to try to weasel through lame excuses and deflections is nutty behavior.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Theres those big bad taxes again. The left is in a tizzy because nothing can stop a MAGA 2020 win! Hope Biden doesn't fall asleep during the debate.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

The real question is who does Trump owe this $300 million+ that is due in full a few years from now?

That's a very good question and brings up the problem of trust. Can we trust a president, who holds security clearances to a number of powerful assets to be under the thumb of mysterious lenders? Who are the people or entities that he owes such a large amount of money to? Sooner or later, the loans have to be paid up, and I'm sure whomever is the lender knows that having the POTUS in debt to you provides you with a lot of leverage.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

I haven't seen any confirmation that this NYT's story is true.

Mark - Trump Paid ZERO $ in federal income taxes for 10 out of 15 years he reported, while the average WORKING American paid about $2,500, this is what Tax evasion looks like.

According to whom? Trump has been repeatedly audited by the IRS, and they haven't accused him of "tax evasion". What do you know that the professionals at the IRS haven't seem to uncovered?

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Refusing a drug test. We've had a few Presidents gone on record for using drugs.

Hearing problems. Both of these men are well over 70. Hearing problems would not shock me.

The Trump tax issue is still a bigger threat to me. The business losses and whom money is owed is a bigger threat to national security. Not a hearing aid.

Everyone is saying if Biden didn't, why won't he just subject himself to the tests. Yet these same individuals are not using the same premise for Trump. If the tax issues are such fake news, why not follow in the shoes of every Presidential candidate and release your tax returns. Trump has nothing to hide and has done nothing illegal. He should be fine releasing them to the public.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Harris and her husband, attorney Douglas Emhoff, paid $1,185,628 in combined federal and state taxes on earnings of $3,018,127.

So the government stole almost half of what they earned. Despicable. There is something wrong with a government that steals almost half when the government does almost nothing in return.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

I didnt mention that, of necessity, Trump accepts one dollar a year in presidential salary. And according to you that makes me “a liar“.

Ohara misunderstands me. I wrote, stop repeating your mistakes after checking the facts, otherwise you become a liar.

Deliberately repeating an untruth when you know it is untrue is - what do they call it now?

Ah yes, mis-speaking.

Trump misspeaks all the time, as do his supporters. Not lies though, ooh no.

CNN is already spinning the debate!

I am going to watch the debate after work and formulate my own opinion. I don't base my life on the mass media and those here that follow it like sheep.

Trump is fine with his taxes

You may claim all is fine with Mr. Trump's taxes but the IRS is far from fine with his taxes. There is a long running dispute over an apparently fraudulent $72.9 million refund claim and another dispute over whether the family mansion in New York where they frequently live is a "home" as the IRS claims or an "invstment property" as Mr. Trump claims. These two tax disputes are probably the tip of a much larger iceberg.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

According to whom? Trump has been repeatedly audited by the IRS, and they haven't accused him of "tax evasion

You are apparently not aware of a long running dispute the IRS has with a $72.9 million refund claim made by Mr. Trump or with a separate dispute whether the family home is a home as the IRS claims since the Trumps often live there or an "investment property" as Mr. Trump claims. The audit surrounding the $72.9 million refund claim is not yet settled. There are even more tax questions being posed by the state of New York regarding real estate fraud and tax fraud.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

You may claim all is fine with Mr. Trump's taxes but the IRS is far from fine with his taxes.

Nonsense! The IRS had over 15 years of glossing over Trump's taxes and they saw nothing alarming and they weren't friends of Trump's either. Again, Trump didn't anything different than what Soros and other rich business people when using these tax laws.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

As always, Donald is above the law.

What law did he break? Why would anyone pay more taxes than they have to?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

This debate is an absolute shambles.
