“I don’t think he is out of line, but he is dead wrong. ... The last administration left us in a weaker posture than we’ve been any time since World War II: less regarded in the world, stretched more thinly than we ever have been in the past, two wars under way, virtually no respect in entire parts of the world,” Biden said.

You just can't say it much straighter than that.

In contrast to the last 8 years, it's so refreshing to hear top U.S. government officials saying things that are actually true and that reflect reality.

VP Biden is a big-mouthed idiot. He has been virtually inviting hostile foreign nations to "test" the US and he has the gall to say that Cheney is 'dead wrong' - which seems to be his favorite phrase. If the last administration left us weaker than before, why did Obama retain Bush's Secretary of Defense? The Obama administration is closing down Gitmo and has already stated that some of the terrorists kept there will be released into the United States. Obama is going to cut defense spending, cut the development of the proven missile defense system, and is going around the world telling everyone how horrible America is. No Joe, that doesn't make the country safer by any stretch of the imagination.

"virtually no respect in entire parts of the world"

Yeah, we're virtually the Rodney Dangerfield of the world.

Wolfpack, the 2010 defense budget has gone from $655 to $664 billion. How you or Sean Hannity can call that a cut in defense spending shows the angry little fantasy world you guys live in. As for the "terrorists" that will be released into the United States, are you possibly referring to the Uighur Chinese that were long ago deemed not to be a threat?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Yep, Cheney took a haphazard "shotgun" approach to diplomacy. And we all know how proficient he is with a shotgun.

Wolfpack at 08:38 AM JST - 8th April VP Biden is a big-mouthed idiot.

LOL, never seems to be amazed by the far right wing use of the English language. Maybe you should have called him a caca pupu breath guy.LOL

Now to the rest of your amusing posts and the meat of your disagreement with Vice President Biden.

Wolfpack at 08:38 AM JST - 8th April He has been virtually inviting hostile foreign nations to "test" the US

Oh so it was VP Biden who told the world;

President Bush said Wednesday that American troops under fire in Iraq aren't about to pull out, and he challenged those tempted to attack U.S. forces, "Bring them on."

Opps I must have placed the wrong quote up there Wolfpack. If you would not mind to point me and others in the right direction. Where exactly has VP Biden any nation to "test" us?

I maybe wrong, but I think what VP Biden was saying about being tested was not an invitation to be attacked. But I am not a far right interpreter so I maybe wrong in your mind.

Wolfpack at 08:38 AM JST - 8th April he has the gall to say that Cheney is 'dead wrong' - which seems to be his favorite phrase.

Hm let us see if former VP Cheney was ever wrong.......I will have to use the B.S. meter for this one.....

B.S. meter please show us if VP Cheney was ever wrong?

"My belief is we will, in fact, be greeted as liberators." --March 16, 2003

"We know he's been absolutely devoted to trying to acquire nuclear weapons, and we believe he has, in fact, reconstituted nuclear weapons." --March 16, 2003

"In Iraq, a ruthless dictator cultivated weapons of mass destruction and the means to deliver them. He gave support to terrorists, had an established relationship with al Qaeda, and his regime is no more." –Nov. 7, 2003

"I think they're in the last throes, if you will, of the insurgency." -- on the Iraq insurgency, June 20, 2005

Oh wow he has made so many wrong quotes in his time, maybe VP Biden is correct.

Wolfpack at 08:38 AM JST - 8th April If the last administration left us weaker than before, why did Obama retain Bush's Secretary of Defense?

Maybe because Gates is a very good Secretary of Defense. I wonder if President Obama will be offering Donald Rumsfeld a post? What do you think there Wolfpack?

Wolfpack at 08:38 AM JST - 8th April The Obama administration is closing down Gitmo and has already stated that some of the terrorists kept there will be released into the United States.

You seem to have left out a little tiny detail there. Why is it that the far right leaves out certain details when they post.

He is not releasing these prisoners into America. He is placing these people in the custody of the American justice system. American justice system, you remember what that is right?

Next on the list is your quotes on how the President will make America weaker...Please B.S. meter tell us what you smell on the posts of Wolfpack?

Obama is going to cut defense spending.

B.S. value 85%, the President is reducing our Military spending by 9 Billion. Hm that one stinks a bit there Wolfpack.

cut the development of the proven missile defense system

B.S. value 99%, you did not get the memo did you. If the missile defense system was proven to work, it would not be in development.

Darn it man this one really stinks!

going around the world telling everyone how horrible America is.

B.S. value 100%......Truly a stinker.....Btw here is a chance please provide any links where the President has insulted our nation.....

As I have stated in the past, if the far right keeps getting their news from Rush you will get lost in the B.S.!

Biden is bang on; his words 100% correct, and as usual, wolfpack, sarge, and the gang can only call him 'loud-mouthed' and what not while they go on denying facts.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"Biden said the exact opposite is true, and former President George W Bush’s vice president was part of a dysfunctional decision-making system." (italics added)

I think he hit the nail on the head with that one.

odd, Joe voted for the invasion. Supported intervening in Bosnia and was on the foreign relations committee. He is just a bag of wind. C'mon. Anyone can call Cheney for what he is but to think Joe is any better is nuts.

To me, he is not a plain old Joe, he is a rank and file politician! If things with the war worked any different, he'd be up there hold Dick's hands in victory. That is what wwe are really dealing with here.

JoeBigs - "American justice system, you remember what that is right?"

LOL! Jokes aside, you make a very good point.

I honestly think the Extreme Right would much rather disregard the storied law system their country has in place to chase down the terrorists and other Very Scary People that their previous president told them to be scared of. :-)

Whether the Extreme Right, as represented by Wolfpack, et el, will ever be willing to respect and uphold the laws of their own nation is up for serious debate in my book.

One of the many positive points about President Obama is that - in complete contrast to the previous CinC - the current president is ready to give a damn about the U.S. Constitution.

Unfortunately, that's way more than can be said for the Extreme Right.

Skipthesong - "To me, he is not a plain old Joe, he is a rank and file politician! If things with the war worked any different, he'd be up there hold Dick's hands in victory."

He's not because there isn't one.

Plastic Monkey sums it up best:

"Wolfpack, the 2010 defense budget has gone from $655 to $664 billion. How you or Sean Hannity can call that a cut in defense spending shows the angry little fantasy world you guys live in"

The far right have lost what little grip on Reality they actually had pre Nov 4th 2008.

Heh, but it' always nice to see cheney's defenders, what with his 8% approval rating and all...

true words!

No, comments like Wolfpack's all make sense when you understand that to diehard GOP supporters, up is down, left is right, black is white, right is wrong and defeat is victory.

Understand that and everything GOP supporters say makes sense. :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"defeat is victory."

That's what I read on the teleprompter....

0 ( +0 / -0 )

In fact, if you apply the following criteria to dick cheney's comments below, you will find that, in fact, he is talking sense. :-)

up is down left is right black is white right is wrong losing is winning defeat is victory.

Madverts,

And about that "cut" in military spending, what we're looking at is a "cut" in R&D. The cuts will mostly come in the way of developmental programs with a history of huge cost overruns. The Air Force is going to have to make due with a few less F-22s but the rank and file in the military won't be affected by this. Sec. Gates is trying to get military planners to quit planning for the cold war to go hot and to focus more on smaller insurgent type armies. This means the big pie in the sky programs aren't really necessary.

As far as the actual troops go, their funding is going to be increased.

When the right-wing shrieking heads start going off that Pres. Obama is cutting their funding, it's important that we look at the specifics. If we don't, they'll be howling that Pres. Obama doesn't support the troops.

To quote Barney Fife: "You've got to nip it in the bud."

Taka

"If we don't, they'll be howling that Pres. Obama doesn't support the troops."

Heh, I already called one of our trolls out on this earlier. The same individual that called any critics of GWB "traitors" and "un-patriotic" throughout the Bush/Cheney regime.

I'll be interested what you Americans can dig up on targetting the new enemy which we all face, as you state - being radical and fight to the death type insurgents. If anything I remain a firm believer that GWB's so-called "war on terror" has fuelled fundementalism and therefore exposed American citizens to more acts of terrorist attrocities to come. Cheney is a shadowy and if not evil character in my opinion. I'm simply refreshed he's been relegated to the toilet bowl of history, along with his uhm....heh, "boss".

Slow Joe voted against Gulf War 1 and for regime change in 03. He doesn't know what he believes.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Boy, I do love reading the comments of Sarge, Wolfpack, and the other far right guys. It brightens up my day. From here on out, We should call you guys, the Hannity Boyz. I will agree with you guys on one thing though, Joe Biden is a loud mouth whether those on the left want to admit it or not.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Whatta laugh.

Gov't spending as percentage of US GDP will reach the levels you see in the basically socialist economies of W Europe, where participatory democracy is all but dead.

Under Obama every sector of government will grow by numbers Americans have never seen before.

Yet there is exactly one government institution facing cuts from this administration.

Predictably, even the 'liberals' here in the armed forces rush to defend their dear leader who, like Clinton, despises the US military.

I can't imagine what cognitive dissonance of that magnitude does to the mind and spirit.

Biden is the dumbest Vice President since Rockefeller back in the 70s. He has been caught in so many bald faced lies, that its hard to take the man seriously on anything. Add in Obamas complete and total incompetence in foreign policy, and I have serious fears for the next 4 years.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

tantantanuki Biden said the exact opposite is true, and former President George W Bush’s vice president was part of a dysfunctional decision-making system." (italics added)

I think he hit the nail on the head with that one.

+1. Thank God that US got rid of those two. Biden is realistic, he doesn´t lie on your face or has a hidden second agenda, as Chenney had.

Molenir at 10:04 AM JST - 10th April Biden is the dumbest Vice President since Rockefeller back in the 70s.

Well you maybe a weeeeee bit off there ole mighty far right winger of tales. Everything I have read suggest that Vice President Biden is one of the Smarts V.P.'s we have had in our country. If you have some inside information, please do tell. All American's are waiting for your information......

Now I do hope this is not just personal feelings and not fact......Hm

Molenir at 10:04 AM JST - 10th April He has been caught in so many bald faced lies, that its hard to take the man seriously on anything.

Just want to know what lies Biden has said. Can you list the lies that the VP has said about Dick Cheney?

Better yet, please list the lies Biden has said....

Molenir at 10:04 AM JST - 10th April Add in Obamas complete and total incompetence in foreign policy, and I have serious fears for the next 4 years.

Hell it can not be as bad as it has been for the last 8 years. At least President Obama uses diplomacy to try and resolve issues. I myself like his approach better than the Gunboat foreign policy of the Bush administration.
