The allegations, sourced anonymously,

That is all I needed to know about this smear -fakery!

That is all I needed to know about this smear -fakery!

Must be a conspiracy by the media.

The reported comments, many of which were confirmed independently by the AP,

Weird that another respectable news source is in on the conspiracy. You’d think they’d want to keep the number of people in on the conspiracy to a minimum so as to avoid leaks.

-9 ( +10 / -19 )

The president and his allies have dismissed the report in The Atlantic as false.

Oh, boy. Fox News is confirming parts of the story:

Sources dispute claim Trump nixed visit to military cemetery over disdain for slain veterans, but back up parts of Atlantic report

According to the former official, Trump also had said of the Vietnam War: “It was a stupid war. Anyone who went was a sucker.” But sources said Trump did not use that term to refer to war dead interred at Aisne-Marne.

Separately, this former official also heard the president say of American veterans: "What’s in it for them? They don’t make any money?" Multiple sources have confirmed Trump said something to this effect during a 2017 visit at Arlington cemetery, as described in the Atlantic piece, though one insisted Trump was not being derogatory.

(end)

Don't expect Trump fans to stand up to him. They will just lower their morals to match his.

18 ( +26 / -8 )

alleged comments

Alleged. Not proven.

Democrats are desperate.

-19 ( +9 / -28 )

Don't expect Trump fans to stand up to him. They will just lower their morals to match his.

Agreed. I wonder what it’s like to have absolutely no integrity.

17 ( +26 / -9 )

Trump shrugging off reports of Russia paying bonuses to the Taliban for killing US forces one more example of the smoke suggesting fire.

And once again Trump supporters (US and 'foreign') are unable to defend their Trump. Instead they'll continue their attack on something they call 'the media'. Curious that there are reports of Trump supporting 'American journalists' LOL SMH getting paid by Russia to fan flames and fuhrer undermine US systems.

18 ( +23 / -5 )

It seems some in the military are upset that Trump has not started any new wars.

-19 ( +3 / -22 )

Trumpet should be booted straight out of office for this and exiled to Russia where he can live out the rest of his life with his true love.

12 ( +17 / -5 )

It seems some in the military are upset that Trump has not started any new wars.

Not only that, he's reduced the number of troops in the Middle East and called out the military-industrial complex again in his latest rally. What a warmonger, eh?

-18 ( +4 / -22 )

Trumpet should be booted straight out of office for this and exiled to Russia where he can live out the rest of his life with his true love.

Russia Russia Russia! You guys are pathetic.

-19 ( +4 / -23 )

It seems some in the military are upset that Trump has not started any new wars.

That's one way to interpret the results of the Military Times poll (of course polls are always questionable) showing more troops support Biden, not Trump.

Another interpretation is many in the military might have questioned Trump's lack of response to the reports of Russians paying the Taliban to kill Americans.

Added to Trump's lifelong disdain for US military personnel.

Trump’s popularity slips in latest Military Times poll — and more troops say they’ll vote for Biden

https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2020/08/31/as-trumps-popularity-slips-in-latest-military-times-poll-more-troops-say-theyll-vote-for-biden/

12 ( +15 / -3 )

Trump is such a disgrace. He should go to prison first and then be exiled to Russia for the rest of his life. Such a despicable man. Anybody who stands with such a toad needs serious help.

8 ( +13 / -5 )

called out the military-industrial complex again in his latest rally.

'Called out'? Talk's cheap, especially when it comes from a serial liar.

I might start to believe Trump's not a full supporter of the big war industries when I see US military spending start to decline. But I won't believe anything Trump or members of his admin say.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

Trump has said absolutely zero, zilch, nada, nichts about his Russian masters paying the Taliban to kill US soldiers. That alone reveals his guilt and his treason.

11 ( +14 / -3 )

Trump is only interested in making money for himself. Time is money and so he's no time for militarism. Not that he is principally opposed to war - he simply has no principles, which ironically gives him moral superiority over many former presidents who have much blood on their hands from the unnecessary wars they waged and coups they fomented. Still, Trump with his reckless remarks will make a juicy daily target for old Joe.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

John Bolton, no friend of Trump, has just stated that this allegation is not true. “I was there”, Bolton stated, and went on to say Trump did not say anything of the sort and that the decision to cancel the trip to the cemetary was not Trumps and was based on safety and security concerns.

Its another sign of Biden and the Dem’s desperation that they are trying to exploit this “anonymously sourced” (code for fake) “news”, and the Dems again will come off looking bad.

-12 ( +3 / -15 )

You want confirmation? Names? Here you go (from today's edition of the Guardian) :

"Both Elizabeth Neumann, a former assistant secretary of counter-terrorism in the Department of Homeland Security, and Miles Taylor, a former chief of staff in that department, said the account was true, asserting that Trump’s low opinion of soldiers killed and wounded in combat was well-known inside the administration."

11 ( +13 / -2 )

Funny how Trump fans don't say, "Trump would never say that.". They always say, "You can't prove he said that."

17 ( +19 / -2 )

Ohara:. John Bolton, no friend of Trump, has just stated that this allegation is not true. “I was there”, Bolton stated, and went on to say Trump did not say anything of the sort and that the decision to cancel the trip to the cemetary was not Trumps and was based on safety and security concerns.

Leave anything out there?

9 ( +11 / -2 )

The only conclusion I can come up with is that any vet or soldier who supports the man-child is a loser and a sucker.

15 ( +17 / -2 )

trying to exploit this “anonymously sourced” (code for fake) “news”,

Watergate was also fake news. Deepthroat was an anonymous source. The Washington Post and the far left Democrat party were just desperate to take down a duly elected president. Nixon would never have done the things he was accused of.

Everyone is lying except Trump. He alone has integrity and honesty.

/s

11 ( +12 / -1 )

ohara: "John Bolton, no friend of Trump, has just stated that this allegation is not true. 'I was there', Bolton stated . . ."

Well, he sure wasn't there at the impeachment hearings, and if Bolton had stated there what he said in his book, Trump may have been impeached. I trust Bolton just a little more than Trump, and that ain't sayin' much, sorry.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Okay... so let me get this straight. The Atlantic publishes a story based on informants statements, but the informants don't want anybody to know who they are because they're afraid of Twitter. None the less, the Atlantic pushed ahead. Apparently the Atlantic felt it was their duty to publish what is, essentially, a rumor because it proved how bad that orange man is. Aha! Exposed the Devil is.

So far at least ten officials, who were there at the time, have publicly gone on record to refute the allegations, but the "sources" are still anonymous. If they exist it shouldn't be too hard to figure out who they are. These kind of events are highly planned and orchestrated and also highly monitored. Based on the after action reports from field agents and data collected by electronic surveillance, the Secret Service is able to create a detailed timeline with the who ,what, where and when of every step of the trip.

According to the anonymous sources Trump made those comments within a specific context. In this case it was during a discussion about a helicopter trip. Referring to their time line the Secret Service will be able to identify every person in the proximity of the President in that specific time frame. A lot of people that fall in that group have come out, on the record, and strongly stated that this never happened. Even John Bolton (who was there) said he never heard anything like that. It might be interesting to see who else was there.

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

Ohara: That is not the complete comment by Bolton.

Here is what Bolton said:

“I didn’t hear him say those things,” he said. “Now, did he say those things to other people later in the day? It’s certainly possible.”

“I have not heard anybody say, ‘Oh, that doesn’t sound like the Donald Trump I know,’” Bolton said, adding that the president’s disdain might have stemmed from his position on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“He was prone to say from time to time: ‘What did they get out of it? What was the worth of the war in Iraq and the war in Afghanistan?’” Bolton said. “That is a kind of insensitivity that Trump does have. There’s no doubt about it.”

Pukey2Today  08:36 am JST

The only conclusion I can come up with is that any vet or soldier who supports the man-child is a loser and a sucker.

As a veteran I can tell you that most veterans I know totally despice the Dirtbag Traitor. For one thing, he's been violating the very Constitution we swore to protect, against all enemies -* foreign and domestic,* like Trump!

12 ( +14 / -2 )

Ever day brings more reasons to throw this con man out of office. He's a disgrace and so are the people defending him.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

It is such a ludicrous idea that a serving president or otherwise would disparage the dead!

However, those of a less discerning nature are lapping it up...

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

Desperate times call for desperate measures, and the Dems are desperate.

-17 ( +1 / -18 )

If President had said these things in 2018, it would have been immediately splashed all over the world media back then: not wait two years to say something. This is just an October Surprise launched in September. More proof that the democrats know Biden has no chance of winning the general in November.

-15 ( +2 / -17 )

I'm a Vietnam veteran and I could see through this conman a long time ago. It has nothing to do with Democrats being desperate, because I'm not one.

What kind of American supports a 6-time bankrupt, pathological lying, 5-time draft dodger as their hero?

11 ( +15 / -4 )

Expect a lot more sudden "revelations" from the Dems from now until Bidens defeat in November.

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

By calling the same people who also lied to the Atlantic.

The reported comments, many of which were confirmed independently by the AP,

-13 ( +2 / -15 )

Sources dispute claim Trump nixed visit to military cemetery over disdain for slain veterans, but back up parts of Atlantic report

FOX confirmed of reports that were given to them by the Atlantic by their sources.

According to the former official, Trump also had said of the Vietnam War: “It was a stupid war. Anyone who went was a sucker.” But sources said Trump did not use that term to refer to war dead interred at Aisne-Marne.

Bolton disputed that and Bolton really doesn’t like this President and has no reason to defend him said, he never heard the President say that and that it was more about the worsening weather that the President canceled the trip. This by a Trump hater.

Yes, the haters of these sources now are coming forward with this, but didn’t in the past and once again, liberals are gobbling the candy up like skittles, o funny.

Don't expect Trump fans to stand up to him. They will just lower their morals to match his

As if Biden supporters had the highest integrity. Lol

-15 ( +2 / -17 )

I don't trust any media because they're all anti-Trump and certainly have no reason to trust his haters.

This is like watching a comedy show. I often hear anti Trump groupie say that they hate Trump because he's a liar, a racist and stupid, etc... but that actually describes Biden, the one they will vote for.

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

Democrats are projecting what they themselves believe about our U.S. military. In 2007, Sen. John Murtha (D-PA) said on the Senate floor that the real terrorists in Iraq wore U.S. military uniforms.

-13 ( +2 / -15 )

By calling the same people who also lied to the Atlantic.

What evidence do you have they are liars? As far as I know, you are not in Trump's inner circle.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Who the heck does he think he is?

Well, Trumpchump says he's the 'Chosen One' but he sure doesn't show any love or compassion for others like a messiah is meant to be.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

The email released by the Military clearly stating the actual reason for the cancellation.

Have you read it?

What evidence do you have they are liars?

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

I see no good reason not to believe the story. After four years the world has come to expect nothing better from this vile sub-human creature.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

If anonymous says it, then it must be true right!

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

@Texas

If President had said these things in 2018, it would have been immediately splashed all over the world media back then: not wait two years to say something. This is just an October Surprise launched in September.

If a journalist had gotten wind of it, it would have been all over the news. These comments were only made in the presence of administration members. I agree that the timing of the original leakers speaking up is probably no accident. Clearly there are even current and former employees of the administration who love their country enough to want to see this menace kicked out.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

It was no coincidence at all that the first question at the Biden "press conference" was read off a cell phone by a reporter from...... the Atlantic? and that Joe Biden read a response from notes his staff gave?

Joe said he didnt have "the list" of reporters to call on, again. Second time this week.

Biden was asked to comment on Trump's "soul" and how he "lives his life" for some reason.

Wouldnt want to actually ask a policy question to the guy who only takes questions every 100 days or so. Debates cant come fast enough.

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

Well, Trumpchump says he's the 'Chosen One'

Wrong President.

but he sure doesn't show any love or compassion for others like a messiah is meant to be.

Actually, he does and you see it now in the pushback across the country of Americans that love their country and are not going to take this crap anymore.

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

Of course this fake President uttered these vile insults - he's disparaged and disrespected our military his whole life. How could a coward that ran away from and shirked his own military duty say anything else...

And as for our Trump supporting friends who question the continued focus on Russia, why the silence on;

Russia ramming our troops off the road in Syria?

Russia poisoning another dissident - Navaly?

Russia putting bounties on our troops in Afghanistan?

Russia unsafely intercepting our aircraft?

Russia flying nuclear-capable bombers off our coasts?

Our President spends more time criticizing Nancy for getting her hair done than he does Putin for trying to kill American military members....

And we all know why...massive Russian oligarch loans funneled through Deutsche Bank to the Trump Org...

Our President - a Russian asset in the White House...

6 ( +9 / -3 )

6 "Russia" and 2 "Russian", you have outdone yourself. all that have not one thing to do with the topic.

Im going to recommend to your boss that you get a bonus.

Meanwhile your hero Bolton somehow didnt put this in his book as happening.

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

It is such a ludicrous idea that a serving president or otherwise would disparage the dead!

If the president were a normal human being, this statement would be accurate. Unfortunately, we’re dealing with someone who lacks loyalty, compassion, empathy, and patriotism.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Actually, he does and you see it now in the pushback across the country of Americans that love their country and are not going to take this crap anymore.

What pushback are you talking about? All the republicans making videos about how they won’t support the president? Yes, they are sick of this crap. This crap being, obviously, Trump.

That “silent majority” you people live to talk about is likely the majority of republicans who are not stupid enough to vote for Trump a second time.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Meanwhile your hero Bolton somehow didnt put this in his book as happening.

And? That must mean it didn’t happen. Never mind that Bolton himself has come out and said it could have happened. Smooth one, Black.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Meanwhile your hero Bolton somehow didnt put this in his book as happening.

Exactly, if there were any truth to that, even Biden disputed that as well as Sarah Huckabee Sanders and four other officials that were in the room when these comments were allegedly uttered and they all said it’s bogus, it’s just funny that just right before the election this comes out when they could’ve came up this along time ago, just another liberal failed tactic. Honesty is not the building block of the Democrats.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

We are looking for facts here. His book is supposedly factual and it isnt in there.

Of course he hates Trump so he will not come out and say it didnt happen. But if it did, it would have been in his book.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Honesty is not the building block of the Democrats.

Says a Trump supporter! Hahahahahahahaha!

7 ( +9 / -2 )

What kind of American supports a 6-time bankrupt, pathological lying, 5-time draft dodger as their hero?

Trump is no hero but I support all draft dodgers. We could not have these banker's wars of empire, aggression, plunder and murder without suckers thinking they should volunteer or obey a draft order as if the United States were a fascist regime that can order you to go shoot at people who are no threat to your country or even an ally. Mohammad Ali said "NO!". My grandfather said "NO!" What's anyone else's excuse?

“It was a stupid war. Anyone who went was a sucker.”

He was mostly correct but he forgot about the evil ones who loved the blood and guts and wanted to murder people. Mai Lai massacre. One of the few massacres committed that is actually documented.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

> We are looking for facts here. His book is supposedly factual and it isnt in there.

Of course he hates Trump so he will not come out and say it didnt happen. But if it did, it would have been in his book.

Logic failure. If he wasn’t in the room when it was said, it wouldn’t be in the book.

It’s beyond the pale when Trump supporters worry about anyone lying or start looking for facts. You people support a guy that couldn’t get a fact straight or tell the truth if his life depended on it.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

He was mostly correct but he forgot about the evil ones who loved the blood and guts and wanted to murder people.

It was a stupid war, but those that were sent were not suckers. The vast majority of them had no choice, so answered the call of their country instead of hiding behind daddy’s money like Trump did.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

the whole story is predicated on the trip being cancelled out of disrespect for our fallen soldiers.

The email from the military confirms it was weather. So if a story is predicated on something false, its highly likely the rest of it is false too (see example: fake dossier)

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

The email from the military confirms it was weather. So if a story is predicated on something false, its highly likely the rest of it is false too (see example: fake dossier)

Logic failure.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

During the 2016 US presidential election Internet Research Agency employees and others supporting Russia and global far right movements posted numerous messages throughout social media saying things like 'Hillary's going to start WW3 if... whatever. Their messages were echoed by 'westerners' serving as useful I...s for Putin. This election those same posters are focusing their attacks more on mail in voting and 'the media'. While writing variations on muh Russia.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Ten people come out On The Record denying liberal rag The Atlantic’s reports. Reports made by “anonymous” officials. No doubt one of these shy individuals is the author of the Russia collusion hoax dossier. Even Trump hater Bolton says it’s false.

Expect a fake hit piece like this every few weeks until the election. The entrenched elites from both parties and big business will pull out all the stops to collude against the president this year.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

the ENTIRE story is based on Trump making up an excuse to not go to the cerremony.

So start with the truth of that.

Why did he not go? official government document from the military says "bad weather".

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

John Bolton book: bad weather. More than 10 on the record, government officials: bad weather.

The whole story falls apart once bad weather is the reason.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

@kurisupisu

It is such a ludicrous idea that a serving president or otherwise would disparage the dead!

It is ludicrous that a serving president would suggest shooting nuclear missiles at a hurricane to destroy it, or inject bleach to cure an illness etc., but he did. This is only mildly crazy, by his standards.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

The whole story falls apart once bad weather is the reason.

No, it doesn’t, Bass. The issue is not the reason the trip was cancelled, it is what Trump said about WWI veterans.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

The point is no longer whether he actually made the statements, but whether people are willing to believe he would. They are, in fact, completely plausible. If the accounts are later disproved, the author has done nothing that the GOP hasn't been doing since Joe McCarthy ruled the senate, Barry Goldwater ran for office, and Fox News began broadcasting. As they say, all's fair in love and politics...

8 ( +9 / -1 )

fuhrer undermine US systems.

Freudian slip par excellence

9 ( +9 / -0 )

you know you are losing when you intentionally try to create confusion by attributing one persons post to another.

if the email isnt fake, the whole story falls apart. so there you go.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

Later, in a press briefing, Trump suggested the source of the story was his former chief of staff, retired Marine Gen. John Kelly. “It could have been a guy like John Kelly,” Trump told reporters, saying his former top aide “was unable to handle the pressure of this job.”

So he thinks Kelly was one of the leakers? Who would you believe, Kelly or Trump?

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Yes, it is because the trip was supposedly cancelled due to Trump not wanting to go.

Because he wanted to disparage our veterans by not bothering to go. and cause it would mess up his hair. The upposed comments were in support of him not wanting to go.

Yet bad weather is the reason he couldnt go. So there would be no need for such comments about why he didnt want to go, when he CANT go. He wouldnt need to even make an excuse, as the weather didnt allow it.

ruins your whole story.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

wow, your whole story brought down by John Bolton's book and an email released under FOIA that proves it was bad weather,

. The most 2020 things so far.

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

Ask yourself a simple question. Does this seem like kind of think that Trump would say given his long history?

It totally does.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

The only conclusion I can come up with is that any vet or soldier who supports the man-child is a loser and a sucker.

You just insulted an awful lot of military people with that one. You know, the people who put their lives on the line so we can live in freedom?

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

You just insulted an awful lot of military people with that one. You know, the people who put their lives on the line so we can live in freedom?

This is rich given you don’t criticize Trump for disparaging the people who put their lives on the line so we can live in freedom.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

"if true"

disparaging the people who put their lives on the line so we can live in freedom.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

This is rich given you don’t criticize Trump for disparaging the people who put their lives on the line so we can live in freedom.

But he didn't. It's all hearsay. Give it up already.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

ohara:

Peter Neil, Im curious about Biden's service in the military. Perhaps you could enlighten us.

As a non-American, even I know Beau Biden had a military record.

Try finding anyone with the name Trump and who has served their country. Hell, that was the reason why the man-child's grandfather got booted out of his native Germany - because he wouldn't serve. Runs in the family. They don't serve, and yet they denigrate those who do (and get killed or maimed).

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Its not like this will change the vote of one single Trump supporter because we dont believe it.

I agree with. He insulted soldiers who were captured in combat on video and Trump supporters made excuses for that.

He’s already done it.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

6 "Russia" and 2 "Russian", you have outdone yourself. all that have not one thing to do with the topic.

Uh-huh, you didn't even try to answer the questions, did you?

Im going to recommend to your boss that you get a bonus.

I'd do the same for your boss but I don't speak Russian...

Meanwhile your hero Bolton somehow didnt put this in his book as happening.

That's funny - you diss Bolton for months then try to use him to support your view....is this another flip and he's back to being your Great Conservative Icon once more?

4 ( +6 / -2 )

not using Bolton. Using his book, which you claimed is a truthful account on par with the Bible itself.

This story isnt in the book and it says the reason for cancellation is bad weather. Is Bolton lying to you?

he inadvertently helped Trump by his own book, thats the funny part.

That's funny - you diss Bolton for months then try to use him to support your view....is this another flip and he's back to being your Great Conservative Icon once more?

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

But he didn't. It's all hearsay. Give it up already.

Trump didn’t disparage McCain for having been captured or McCain wasn’t a veteran?

6 ( +7 / -1 )

"if true"

Biden was being careful, as politicians are supposed to be. This came out a little later (I repeat):

"Both Elizabeth Neumann, a former assistant secretary of counter-terrorism in the Department of Homeland Security, and Miles Taylor, a former chief of staff in that department, said the account was true, asserting that **Trump’s low opinion of soldiers killed and wounded in combat was well-known inside the administration."**

5 ( +6 / -1 )

not using Bolton. Using his book, which you claimed is a truthful account on par with the Bible itself.

You're on a roll today with your comedy - you're not using Bolton, you're just using what HE said in HIS book....

This story isnt in the book and it says the reason for cancellation is bad weather. Is Bolton lying to you?

I don't know - he's Team Red and your Conservative Icon - was he lying when he said Trump made the QPQ offer to Ukraine?

he inadvertently helped Trump by his own book, thats the funny part.

Yep, most all of those far-right conservative icons are funny....when they're not starting wars....

And another dodge of the Russian questions...

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Because this article has nothing to do about Russia, and you post the same list every day in nearly every unrelated article.

And another dodge of the Russian questions...

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Without Trump getting caught on tape saying this stuff it all comes down to who you find more believable and who you prefer to believe. If these kinds of accusations had been made against George W Bush, I would want to believe that they were true but I still wouldn't be able to believe it. With Trump on the other hand... you might genuinely believe that he's doing a really good job as President but it would be a stretch to claim that he's also a really nice guy with the communication skills of Barack Obama or Bill Clinton. He comes out with dumb stuff but his supporters give him a pass for "trolling the MSM" or not being PC, so I would be surprised if anyone found all this hard to believe.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

And another dodge of the Russian questions...

Because this article has nothing to do about Russia, and you post the same list every day in nearly every unrelated article.

Cop out...OK, we understand - you can't answer them...

So, is Bolton lying when he said Trump did the QPQ?

And explain to us again that you weren't "using" Bolton, you were just "using what he said in his book"....

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Both Elizabeth Neumann, a former assistant secretary of counter-terrorism in the Department of Homeland Security, and Miles Taylor, a former chief of staff in that department, said the account was true, asserting that  ***Trump’s low opinion of soldiers killed and wounded in combat was well-known inside the administration.*"**

Funny how all the Trump supporters gloss over this.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Yeah ok so now have two people who were removed from their positions and who can provide no evidence that what they say is true. Its "well known"....ok who else knows besides 2 of them? and what do these people "know" and how?

So when these 2 claim something, without evidence, it proves what someone else said, also without evidence, is true?

No its just 2 more people making claims, without evidence. Unless these 2 are half of total of the "4 anonymous sources". if true, then its the same 2 people, not 2 more people.

Funny how all the Trump supporters gloss over this.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

Well, yet another deluded group who blindly follow the fake President get a dose of reality. Hey, you military guys who support Trump are suckers and losers to be in military. He will take your votes and then make fun of you when he thinks no one is listening. It is like when he waves the bible around and has never read it. Those that donated to the Trump Wall run by Trumps people like Bannon took your money and then laughed at you all the way to the bank. Bannon cleared a million plus dollars. You gave him that money.

All of you are rubes. If you want to vote for him again when he makes fun of you and calls you suckers for supporting him then that is on you. We liberals knew he was a con man from the start and that its what he will be his entire life. He fooled you all once, if he fools you again that is on you. You are voting for your own disgrace. If he gets a second term he will start a war to cover for his various failures and many of you will pay with your lives for your votes for him.

Well even Fox News has confirmed parts of the story. Trump fans are simply focusing on the parts they did not, like the reasoning for not visiting the cemetery.

Deep down I think we all agree Trump is a coward, even Trump fans.

And? That must mean it didn’t happen. Never mind that Bolton himself has come out and said it could have happened. Smooth one, Black.

P Smith; I think you are in to something here. Tara Reade said it happened in public. That’s better evidence than the Atlantic had - so those digits could have happened. Well that’s all I need to know. Case closed.

Democratic Illinois senator Tammy Duckworth, who lost both her legs in combat in Iraq, accused Trump of attempting to “politicize and pervert our military to stroke his own ego”.

“This is a man who spends every day redefining the concept of narcissism; a man who’s led a life of privilege, with everything handed to him on a silver platter,” she said.

“Of course, he thinks about war selfishly. He thinks of it as a transactional cost, instead of in human lives and American blood spilled, because that’s how he’s viewed his whole life. He doesn’t understand other people’s bravery and courage, because he’s never had any of his own.

“I take my wheelchair, and my titanium legs over Donald Trump’s supposed bone spurs any day,” she added, referring to one reason Trump received draft deferments during the Vietnam war.

The call also included the congressman Conor Lamb, a marine veteran, and Khizr Khan, a Gold Star father whose son was killed by a suicide bomber in Iraq in 2004 and who was himself famously attacked by Trump during the 2016 campaign.

Khan said Trump was “incapable – let me repeat it again – he is incapable of understanding service, valor and courage”.

“His soul cannot conceive of integrity and honor. His soul is that of a coward.”

Yeah ok so now have two people who were removed from their positions and who can provide no evidence that what they say is true.

Trump fans never whine about lack of evidence unless its something they decided they didn't like. Any other time "probably" may as well be solid gold. Others are also guilty but nearly AS guilty. Give it a rest man. Everybody knows Trump has no respect for the boots of the MIC. In fact, most of us long ago copped on to the fact that he has no respect for anyone who isn't rich. If you aren't a sucker for empty compliments, you can see it. All non-rich people are to him are livestock. He is like the farmer who speaks gently to a cow before running a blade over its throat.

The left's weapon of choice is gaslighting. If examined closely, every strategy, and every move made by the socialist/progressive left has always employed gaslighting as its central feature. This is true from the time of the original "thinkers" in central Europe who first imagined the great communist utopia, to Saul Alinsky to the carriers of the torch today. This is the same old song - about the same verse.

Know who you are, know what is right and know what you believe or you will fall for the destructive craziness.

@blue sausage

I agree with the part about gaslighting, but as the election gets tighter and tighter what liberals are trying to do is drown out the message of any conservative on virtually any social platform and it’s wrong to allow only a one-sided political point of view.

Anonymous sources claim that anonymous sources are telling the truth. Doesn't get any more "official" than that. But who will vouch for the anonymous sources? Democrats, and foreigners, of course. Who else would turn an old "bad weather" story into another election year, bad hatchet job to make the drain bramaged Biden appear to be less of a putz than he actually is.

Does this new tactic mean that an increasing desperate democrat party will stop advocating the burning, looting, and general destruction of democrat party controlled cities?

"This story isn't going away, because now, a number of news outlets here in Washington have confirmed the same scope and the same quotes that were in that story. That includes Fox News, which has been the president's go-to television news network."

Jordan was referring to reporting by Jennifer Griffin, Fox News's national security correspondent, who said two former Trump administration officials had confirmed the Atlantic's reporting.

Trump's base will always have an excuse for his awful behaviour and continue to be ball washers. Either they'll call his accusers liars or they'll simply interpret Trump's comments as being correct. Most of his base doesn't have any clue about WWI so they'll go along with it. "Yeah, those marines were losers. We like winners!" They're that ignorant.
