Russia will reap, what it sowed and should be brought to their knees

When the Chernobyl power plant accident occurred in April 1986, Ukraine was a Soviet republic, had been a breadbasket for the Soviet Union, and so I thought the accident was one of the last straws of the Soviet Union's collapse.

I find it very strange, therefore, that there's an altercation between the U.S. and Russia over Ukraine's sovereignty.

That means there's a confrontation between the U.S. bloc (NATO) and Russia, the former always trying to expand its sphere of influence over "eastern flank countries" to the chagrin of Russia.

Biden calls the Ukraine President to say that he told Putin the US will stand with Ukraine, that he convinced Putin to deescalate, and that further steps to return to a normal peaceful situation will occur in the future....

Trump calls the Ukraine President to say he's best friends with Putin and that the US won't send any military aid until Ukraine launches a fake investigation into Hunter Biden....

One is diplomacy, the other is a crime....thank goodness the criminal was thrown out in humiliation...

Biden calls the Ukraine President to say that he told Putin the US will stand with Ukraine,

Obama said the same to the people of Crimea…

One is diplomacy, the other is a crime....

The withdrawal from Afghanistan is a grim reminder of that…

thank goodness the criminal was thrown out in humiliation...

Seems like 2022 will the beginning of a major comeback.

Zelensky's a very talented comedian, but there's never much to laugh about when Potus calls asking for a "favor" while Vlad is making him an offer he can hardly refuse. Let's hope there's a peaceful way out for the Ukraine, so far from God so close to Russia.

Good to see a president finally showing leadership.

He is a messenger for Putin in this setting, not much leadership here

Let's stop this "Obama gave them blankets" nonsense. Per your 2014 article:

The White House announced that Ukraine would receive $53 million (€41 million) in new aid, including $46 million (€35.6 million) for military equipment such as counter-mortar detection units, body armor, binoculars, small boats and other gear for Ukraine’s security forces and border guards in the east.

The "blankets" statement was a hyperbolic reaction from then President Poroshenko, who wanted more lethal weapons. Obama said no.

Anyway, I thought you "America first" Maga people were against neocon warmongering. What happened?

Debunked years ago...

One is diplomacy, the other is a crime....

The withdrawal from Afghanistan is a grim reminder of that…

As in the Trump 2019 surrender....

thank goodness the criminal was thrown out in humiliation...

Seems like 2022 will the beginning of a major comeback.

Two criminal investigations, a Jan 6th commission, and 27 civil lawsuits say otherwise...

I find it very strange, therefore, that there's an altercation between the U.S. and Russia over Ukraine's sovereignty.

When the USSR dissolved and Ukraine became an independent nation it was left with a lot of nuclear weapons that formerly belonged to the USSR. There was a debate within Ukraine whether or not to disarm or keep them for their protection mainly from Russia. The US, UK and then newly formed Russian Federation negotiated a deal with Ukraine to facilitate the removal and destruction of old Soviet nuclear weapons in exchange for a promise from the US and UK to protect Ukrainian sovereignty. There was also a deal to allow Russia to lease the Crimea for a period of years so they could move their military facilities further east out of Ukrainian territory.

Neither the US nor UK stood up for Ukraine in 2014 when Russia invaded and took the Donbass region and annexed the Crimean Peninsula. Now the US and UK are boxed in and have to offer Ukraine the protection they were promised as part of the deal to relinquish the nuclear arsenal they inherited from the USSR.

I think what has prevented the US, EU and NATO from embracing Ukraine more fully is the staggering corruption at almost every level of government, the shared connections between organized crime and both the Russian and Ukrainian governments and the fact that there was a near civil war going on between a large minority with a close affinity to Russia who are hostile to the west and a slim majority seeking closer ties to the west who fear Russia. Last, I think the west is sensitive to Russian fears of having hostile western aligned nations right on its borders who are NATO members. The west wants to protect the Ukraine but has to be careful that in doing so they don't push the Russians over the edge and provoke a war. So there is a tough balancing act for the west and particularly the US trying to convince the Russians that the west has no interest in invading Russia while deterring the Russians from trying to invade Ukraine.

Biden is provoking Russia and China and North korea and Iran

His sanctions aren't working and he looks like a war monger that's pretending to wage peace by force.

The world appears to be losing faith rapidly in the so called USA world leadership.

Trumps having a field day !

Stoltenberg said that NATO was "united" and "prepared for dialogue."

Despite trump’s best efforts to destroy NATO.

Putin requested for a call which is a change from trump going to him on his knees!

A senior U.S. official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the tone "was serious and substantive."

It used to be pleading and whining from trump earlier, so a big change!!!
