Unfortunately with Europe's security on the line with Putin's war, all focus must be made on defeating Russia to advance democracy.

China -- identified by Washington as the sole long-term adversary to the U.S.-led liberal international order -- and Russia both described the summit as hypocritical.

They are not wrong. The problem is neo-liberalism though, exploitative late stage capitalism that gussies itself up in the language of "freedom and democracy". The West has to become truer to its ideals.

Biden nonetheless pointed to progress including efforts by Angola to build an independent judiciary, anti-corruption plans by the Dominican Republic and Croatia and, at home, U.S. voters' rejection of Donald Trump-backed deniers of the 2020 election results.

Ouch.

"I believe this is the defining challenge of our age and, today, we can say with pride that the democracies of the world are getting stronger, not weaker," Biden said. "Autocracies of the world are getting weaker, not stronger."

Orwellian double-talk of the foulest kind. When Biden says "democracy" he doesn't mean a democracy, he means a country ruled by a financial oligarchy; when he says "autocracy" he means any country that believes in free or subsidized healthcare and education and reasonably priced housing for all.

Democracy does exist and Russia and China ain't it.

The contrast could not be more clear....

Biden fighting for democracy and the voice of the people...

And Trump's obsessive daily ranting about his attempted insurrection and autocratic coup...

Trump praises Xi's power grab, sends love letters to KJU, gets a $2 billion investment for Jared from MBS, and says he "trusts" Putin...

What's next, a partnership with Iran's Mullahs for a Trump Tehran Casino and Resort?

75% don’t think so.

Other Democracies exist.

The fact you refuse to acknowledge that is evidence of ideology and superiority delinquencies.

To not respect others democracy is undemocratic !

The blatant hate of others way of life isn't something to be pround of and certainly not reminiscent of freedom or an exuse to push a rule of law .

But you're not here to promote Sweden. You're here to tell us that outlawing all parties except the Communist Party is democracy which is a laughable.

Well, it appears one of these MAGA "rockstars" supports democracy....

"Former President Donald Trump has lashed out at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over the latter's recent comments condemning Russian President Vladimir Putin. DeSantis, considered a leading contender for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 (though he has not announced an intention to run), called Putin a "war criminal" and said Russia's invasion of Ukraine was "wrong" during a Fox Nation interview with Piers Morgan last week.

He also said the Russian leader was "basically a gas station with a bunch of nuclear weapons," and previously referred to him as an "authoritarian gas-station attendant," echoing rhetoric that was used by the late Republican Sen. John McCain, who, in 2014, referred to Russia as "a gas station masquerading as a country."

In a new campaign video, Trump defended Putin and condemned DeSantis's comments as "exactly the kind of simple-minded thinking that has produced decades of failed diplomacy and ultimately war."

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-again-defends-putin-and-rips-into-desantis-for-calling-him-an-authoritarian-gas-station-attendant-and-a-war-criminal/ar-AA19eVUK?cvid=484c2f5aeba544cfa783168a81941647&ei=16

So Trump slams DeSantis and defends Putin... He thinks more highly of Putin than he does "groomer" and "RINO" DeSantis....

I'm sure all the Trump supporters here agree with him...

Well, it looks like Mike Pompeo is doing a "Pence"...i.e., go from the "greatest", "none better", "MAGA hero", to filthy stinking RICO scum....

"Mike Pompeo on Tuesday threw cold water on former President Donald Trump's claim that he, if re-elected president, can solve the Ukraine war in 24 hours.

"I don't know what he's talking about," the former Trump-era secretary of state told Fox News host Martha MacCallum.

Pompeo's comment came after Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Monday that if re-elected president, he'd use his relationships with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin to orchestrate a "very easy negotiation" for peace.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-keeps-saying-he-can-solve-the-ukraine-war-in-24-hours-mike-pompeo-says-he-has-no-idea-what-his-former-boss-is-talking-about/ar-AA19f8XP?cvid=484c2f5aeba544cfa783168a81941647&ei=36

So, is Mikey still a MAGA hero?

The US didn't lose a generation to a war in Ukraine. Companies aren't fleeing the US because they don't trust its government. Finally, the US didn't grow old before it grew rich. By all means, though, place faith in your alliance of self-interested parties. It will surely be there for you when times are tough.

TaiwanIsNotChina, “The US didn't lose a generation to a war in Ukraine.” No, it did lose a couple generations including Ukraine. “Companies aren't fleeing the US because they don't trust its government.” No, they just set up shops else where. “the US didn't grow old before it grew rich.” No, the US just let its people suffer and die from preventable virus, gun violence, drug addiction, just being poor, racial violence, human rights issues, and incessant wars, etc. “place faith in your alliance of self-interested parties.” But only the West has alliance, when it’s involved China, there is no alliance only friends and partners. “It will surely be there for you when times are tough.” Just like, the West deserting those in colonial era and devastating wars, there is a long list of those undeserved countries.

Liberty and press freedom open a whole new picture on what it means to be free. Someday dictatorship China will experience these things. The US hasn't had a draft since the 70s, btw.
