The UK set those restrictions for itself. It’s part of Brexit.

said its research suggests workers have effectively lost a total of almost 20,000 pounds ($24,450) since 2008 because pay hasn't kept pace with inflation.
Sounds familiar to most everybody in the G7 because this is the neo-feudal agenda of the Davos, World Bank, IMF capitalist oligarchs.

The UK started deglobalising early with Brexit, which is why the shortages and inflation are particularly bad.
They got 2 years out of Covid. I don't think they will get more than a year from Ukraine. The rail network will be largely shut down for three days in the week ahead due to strikes and they are already spreading to other sectors. If there are power cuts too, they are finished.

Blighty burns while Bojo fiddles with his "Chicken" Kiyiv. The "Red Wall" awaits the rotter's return.

How's that Brexit working out?

One in five British skip a meal a day. But just one anti-tank weapon with one round cost about $200000 and is given away to the most corrupt and poorest country in Europe. No wonder people are angry. Train strike on the way.

Remember when Churchill said that Nazism was too expensive to defeat?
Yeah, neither do I. And make no mistake, Putin is an authoritarian dictator on par with Hitler.

Millions in the US suffer from food insecurity. It hits minority groups particularly hard.
In the UK, there is the added problem of more and more people shopping at low cost, discount supermarkets and buying low quality food.
The low paid are getting hit very hard.

There us a revolution is coming! Like Imperial Russia in 1905, a social chaos was caused by hyper inflations!

Either people in Britain follow 5 a day or they don't.
Looks like it's now 3 a day or even 1 a day.

Economists have lots of theoretical ways out of the stagflation spiral, but they rely on the population being homo economicus rather than human beings.
In the real world, only cutting economic disparity, or forcing a big expansion in it down people's throats have seemed to work.
But the Imperium lacks the means to force a big expansion in inequality down the throats of the poor anymore and the rich have ways to keep economic policies from hurting them.
That means it is going to be years of economic hardship, political unrest, and social upheaval before one side prevails enough to get the ball rolling.

I wonder if they were carrying signs reading “blame Putin”? The elite politicians, Davis gang and MSM certainly think he’s to blame for everything. Maybe the US could spare some of the $54,000,000,000 we’ve given to Ukraine in the last 4 months.

Any government that can't keep the lights on and food on their shelves is going to get removed from power. Either at the ballot box or by more direct means. Nobody in Western Europe is going to go hungry or freeze this winter for Ukraine.
If Western leaders oppose Putin that much, no problem. Bump him off. Cheap, rapid solution. Everyone would support that.
If they think they can go the full Orwell with a state of permanent war, just see where that gets them. No matter how many old war films the BBC screen or how many atrocities they pile on the news - something they neglected to do when Putin was doing this in Syria.
Most people in the UK despise Johnson's government as much as they do Putin. Those numbers are rising. They are not working from a position of popularity. We are not turning the lights off. We are not 'digging for victory'. We are blaming Johnson and his incompetent cabal of half-witted nationalist clowns, for the consequences of Brexit, the consequences of the Covid response and now the consequences of sanctions.
A government without supporters goes. One way or another.

When all of you start whining about high prices, look at what is happening to Ukrainian cities and be grateful. The west will have to suck it up for a few years to support Ukraine, and more importantly prevent Russia from being able to take an independent nation by military force. If you think this is uncomfortable, doing nothing to defend Ukraine means we will be fighting the Russians in our own cities in the not very distant future because Russia has its sights set on more countries than just Ukraine. If it wins there they are not going to stop. Life is about choices so choose wisely. I can suck it up to see the Russians beaten. I will gladly do that. It is preferable to seeing my city turned into a suburb of Mariupol.

That is not cheap at all. It means instant nuclear war, every major western city incinerated and millions if not tens of millions dead.

First you have to have stagflation and that is not the case today. We have positive GDP growth, record low unemployment and two jobs for every unemployed worker. The inflation we are experiencing is not a result of economic stimulus as it was in the case of the US during the Nixon administration where Nixon used record spending to win an election. In this case inflation is being caused by shortages of important commodities, shortages created by a combination of pandemic and now a major war. There needs to be different measures taken than were taken by Paul Volcker during the Nixon and Ford administrations. The supply problems need to be resolved.

And how would they do that genius? Specifically.

The Russians have their own ways of "bumping off". Just leave it to them to deal with their little Pooty problem, a small price to pay for peace with their Ukrainian neighbors compared to what the Russian taxpayer will have to pony up to pay for all the wanton destruction heaped on the heads of millions of innocents.

Putin has nothing to do with the inflations. Instead it was the bad idea of printing money that caused this hardships. For ten years since 2009, money printing like a debt that never has to pay back. WRONG!
