one of the most indelible inventions in American cuisine

Darn typos:

one of the most inedible inventions in American cuisine

That's the reason my students call that restaurant chain "Maku", because of the Big Mac. When I call it "McDonald's" they usually don't know what I'm talking about

and not because it's ma・ku・do・na・ru・do in Japanese?

That slice of bread in the middle is a complete waste.

I was taught it should be ma-gu-so-na-ru-do

Pretty sure he borrowed the idea from Big Boy restaurants. They were serving a double decker burger with thousand island dressing well before Mac came around. Very similar sandwiches.

The rival burger restaurant in suburban Pittsburgh that gave him the idea was Big Boy. There are Big Boy restaurants here in Tohoku, but none of them have the famous Big Boy hamburger. Go figure?

"a double hamburger with two beef patties, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions, which is covered in a special sauce."

On a sesame seed bun.

"one of the most inedible inventions in American cuisine"

That must be why like 900 million of them are sold worldwide each year, lol.

Since he lived to 98 clearly he did not eat many of his invention.

and his name was not ronald Mcdonald dash

You find it odd that the sauce never hit the shelves? That's most of the flavor in those things.

Did he die in prison for helping to create an overweight, diseased western world that is spreading all over the world? Have to google him.

it is for cosmetic reasons really. He sold the first Big Macs without the centre bread, but it looked too messy, so the bread was added on day 2. An icon was born

PS-I never really liked them anyway..that sauce is not good. Give me a 1/4 pounder any day.

He lived longer than most healthy people
