@zichi

In Japan, all the people can afford healthcare,

No they can't. The monthly bills, out of pocket, are very steep, often the biggest financial burden for working people. Had a girlfriend who worked in a restaurant, and she said the most of the overtime that staff requested was so they could pay their kenko hoken bills.

By the way, the link you posted on global rankings puts US healthcare ahead of Japan, so I'm not sure what your point is.

I get the best of the best healthcare.

I can pay

i enjoy my private healthcare

We'll keep that in mind in our future discussions about America. As long as you're OK, everyone else can kiss off.

Wishing Bill speedy recovery, he is quite frail these days so needs to be careful!

Hard to believe but Cubans get better healthcare than Americans and there are more doctors for every 100,000 people.

And yet, millions are trying to get into the US to get the one thing they don’t have in Cuba and that’s freedom.

America lags behind 18 other countries for healthcare.

i enjoy my private healthcare as millions of other Americans do.

Why is everyone talking about health care systems? Because Bill is in hospital? lol.

Bill and Hillary's health care plan absolutely FAILED to get anywhere, even with a Democratic run Congress. His plans were so unpopular, that just two years later he lost the House to Newt and the Contract With America. Then Slick Willy turned 180 degrees, dropped any and all plans for healthcare, and actually claimed to the nation "The Era Of Big Government Is Over"!

($3.5 trillion more here, $1.5 trillion more there, plus the already bloated budget on top..."no big deal," say Biden and the present-era Dems). lol. Could Bill be more incorrect?? (Well, let's not talk about, "I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky." lol!)

So no, Bill contributed nothing to American health care...unless we count his in-patient contributions happening right now.

what do you think universal healthcare is, everybody pays a certain percentage of their taxes towards the healthcare system, no different than actually paying premiums to private healthcare companies.

Ok

meanwhile in the US, who pay the highest drug prices in the world, government policies give drug companies the power to charge whatever they want

I can pay

But I get the best of the best healthcare.

and yet Americans still have one of the lowest life spans of any 1st world democratic countries especially the ones with universal heathcare, Japan one of the highest

his economic policies that led to job creation, lowered unemployment and increase home ownership (bought my 1st home when he was President)

he also decreased the deficit and even had a surplus.

Also his immigration policies that prevented illegal immigration and put legal immigrants and US citizens first.

U.S. President Bill Clinton asserted that the legislation strengthened "the rule of law by cracking down on illegal immigration at the border, in the workplace, and in the criminal justice system — without punishing those living in the United States legally."

he was basically in many ways the Democrat version of Donald Trump.

Anyone with any actual experience dealing with the Japanese healthcare system knows it is affordable for everyone.

Again, it depends.

Yes, at least. Too bad we are Americans so don’t go for at least, we go for all. We are also meant to support those weaker/less fortunate than us, but I guess they wasn’t taught in every school or by every parent.

I am just responsible for myself and my family

At least many of us that can afford it have some of the best and best choices of doctors and healthcare facilities.

Yes

I have nothing but good words for the serious healthcare I received here and continue to receive. There is a little benefit to having private healthcare insurance here.

For some

In America, the hospitals, doctors, and insurance companies are the ones getting rich.

But I get the best of the best healthcare.

I see. So you're opposed to military funding.

No

Or is it just helping the poor you're opposed to?

Read what I just wrote.

That's what Medicare for All does. So you should support it.

Good, then leave the rest of us alone.

-10 ( +3 / -13 )

No, I am more concerned about the encroachment and greediness of big government trying to rob Paul to give to Peter or as liberals say, income redistribution.

I see. So you're opposed to military funding. Because that is funded by debt and taxes.

Or is it just helping the poor you're opposed to?

And I think the government should focus on THOSE unfortunate people and leave the rest of us that are happy and content with our private healthcare provider alone.

That's what Medicare for All does. So you should support it.

I know that you're more concerned with the rich getting richer

No, I am more concerned about the encroachment and greediness of big government trying to rob Paul to give to Peter or as liberals say, income redistribution.

but some of us are more concerned with ensuring that even the lowest among us can live a good life.

And I think the government should focus on THOSE unfortunate people and leave the rest of us that are happy and content with our private healthcare provider alone.

still my favorite president ever. Hope he gets well soon.

I know that you're more concerned with the rich getting richer (which, as a multimillionaire, why wouldn't you?), but some of us are more concerned with ensuring that even the lowest among us can live a good life.

Bill has been looking and sounding rather a bit more frail as of late. I guess the inevitable march of time....

He's also lost a lot of weight after he went vegan, following a massive heart attack.

In Japan, all the people can afford healthcare,

That is not necessarily true.

and even people on welfare are 100% exempt. Sadly not the situation in America.

At least many of us that can afford it have some of the best and best choices of doctors and healthcare facilities.

is incredibly thankful to the doctors, nurses, and staff providing him with excellent care,”

As we all should be for the care received from doctors, nurses and medical staff.

No doubt Bill's able to get the best of the best healthcare the US has. Another example of the gaps separating the Clintons and those in their caste from the rest of the country.

I'm fortunate I live in Japan, where my family members and I have been able to access high quality healthcare, that so far has been affordable.
