Understood, it’s important @girl_in_Tokyo 7:26am: “And you wonder why only 4% of women report rape? -Overcoming the perceived stigmas and reluctance to report sexual assault is critical. Yet, why the ‘selective’ agendas and flippancy towards just the males in the thread?

You should also be equally outraged & condemning of the fabricators of untruths that damage true victims’ credibility by exploiting admittedly fictitious events for profit:

Twitter thread about woman's sex trafficking “tale” now a movie - June 30 -

Where was Your outrage yesterday at these two women, exploiting the very real crimes of sexual assault and sex trafficking?  (Didn’t see any comments there.)

Why always be so ‘selective’ and only addressing the issue of male sexual assaults on females?

Please be an advocate for ALL victims!

This is what happens when one seeks justice, read fame, to the point of incriminating oneself. The goal to incarcerate Cosby was so strong that the state forgot that it's man main job was to provide justice for all, including Cosby. So he walks and reputation damaged beyond repair and the state suffers a very public bloody nose. I'm ok with this result as the state and the lobbying bodies will learn from this.

Bill Cosby is a sex offender, an alleged sex offender, if you will.

Bill Cosby is free, can that be said for the women that allegedly suffered his insufferable need to tip toe around the obvious picadillos?

A sad old man?

He could have stood up strait , we are all victims of our own misguided self beliefs.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

I've always found his trial to be a bit dubious and was surprised to find him found guilty put in jail so quickly.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

He served 3 years on a 3 to 10 year sentence. *somewhat justice.

The why or how he is free now does not matter.

All that matters is his reputation and name to be used to bring awareness to these woman raped and brutalized all over the world. That it will not stand any more.

Bill Coby-----Jailed for drugging and raping.

Bill Cosby------Will never work again as a comedian.

Bill Cosby------- a ray of hope that justice will be served against the rich and elite who think they can just take what they want with no consequences.

Bill Cosby-----the POS.

Bill Cosby the loser.

Lets see Bill Cosby give a way his millions to his victims or to an organization that protect battered and raped woman. That would be justice.

Let's see Bill Cosby admit in speeches the rest of his days how he is rapist trying to gain recovery and serve the rest of his life in service to victims, preventing date rapes, drugging, and sex crimes.

Then and maybe then he will redeem himself.

Hollywood types who redeemed themselves after conviction. Cosby take note.

Go Mr. Cosby. Give it a way, give it way now.

I admire Bill Cosby, he was a laugh a minute, until the minute I stopped laughing.

Released on a technicality... because he was given immunity from prosecution? Come on... seriously? I thought that only happened in films and TV series... well as far as I'm concerned he's still guilty. He was found guilty - not innocent.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

So the reason for his release isn't that he is innocent but because one prosecutor said something that another didn't agree with.

Mind boggling justice system. Guilty in every way yet gets to go free.

Bill Cosby, allegedly decides in his dreams the drink/ drugs his ccréature vivante offerte en sacrifice aux dieux.

Bill Cosby is and always will be an alleged, well once convicted sex offender Spared by a technically

Thank you JT, technicality get out of jail free card , Bill Cosby allegedly, systematically abused.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

i read the first paragraph 3 times. He is not being released due to innocence but only due to a technicality. He is in no way vindicated by this.

The issue on the surface may appear to some to be “me too vs. race” but not really……no…not at all.

A rich man who has been convicted and proven to be a racist walks free because he is rich enough to hire attorneys to get this overturned on a technicality.

Perhaps, an ‘apology’ is due to @Eyeblack from @girl_in_Tokyo ?

- [Eyeblack 7:07am: “With such an obvious and massive hole in the case against him, …

- girl_in_tokyo 7:27am: I knew the rape apologists would be out in full force. And here they are,…” -

No Doubt! What happened to these women was wrong!

But seems @Eyeblack was also questioning the adequacy of the American Justice system to successfully prosecute, convict perpetrators ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’ and ‘keep them incarcerated until the end of their sentences.

*- “Whether or not he did it and deserved to be in prison, the system failed. *

And pointing out the continued influence of money and political influence over justice prevailing:

Without his money and resources, I also seriously doubt the prosecutor mishandling of the case would have ever been held to account. Justice system in the US is terrible.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

this was systemic racism against Bill Cosby and I am glad he finally got his justice. No justice no peace, right?

-18 ( +12 / -30 )

Benjamin Franklin went further arguing "it is better a hundred guilty persons should escape than one innocent person should suffer."

The USA has laws and procedures that were broken during his trial. Guilty or not that evidence could not be used against him and yet it was used against him. Thus the entire trial was thrown out and Cosby set free. Cosby is an old man and people should be happy he served three years.

How much did the Judge get paid off to release this vile person?

3 ( +12 / -9 )

Just like the sweetheart deal that Epstein got the first time.

All you need is the prosecutor on your side, and you can literally get immunity for life, according to this ruling.

All you need is to be incredibly wealthy. Good luck.

Well, I can’t argue that. This news did shock me. Absolutely nuts!

5 ( +11 / -6 )

Goood, the system does works

-18 ( +9 / -27 )

Why can't justice be as simple as doing time for the crime? Too many loopholes and technicalities.

13 ( +19 / -6 )

He is dying, they had to let him out to save face.

Not at all. The US system is not about "saving face". I think you are confusing the US with another country...

EyeblackToday 07:07 am JST

With such an obvious and massive hole in the case against him, how did he actually get convicted and then spend 3 years in prison?

60 women.

More than 60 rapes.

I knew the rape apologists would be out in full force.

And here they are, right on time.

-8 ( +24 / -32 )

And you wonder why only 4% of women report rape?

Wonder no longer.

-3 ( +23 / -26 )

With such an obvious and massive hole in the case against him, how did he actually get convicted and then spend 3 years in prison? The system seems set up to ruin people's lives and then maybe sort it out some years down the road. Whether or not he did it and deserved to be in prison, the system failed. Without his money and resources, I also seriously doubt the prosecutor mishandling of the case would have ever been held to account. Justice system in the US is terrible.

A ‘slap in the face’ to sexual assault victims, everywhere.

- No admission of guilt, no remorse. -
