The election is a farce anyway with the most popular (and least corrupt) politician in jail on trumped up charges just because he refused to toe the line of the military and wanted to align with Russia. 

The Biden administration must be happy that they have managed to stifle whatever democracy was left in Pakistan.

Has nothing to do with the US. Khan said so:

Forced to say so by the military.

Isn't that funny how both Khan and the opposition both are so obedient to US interests in your view. And yet we couldn't get them to fight the Taliban when it counted.

Neither Khan nor the opposition. It's the military which survives on (and thrives on) military aid by the US.

Civilian governments don't matter when it comes to US-Pakistan relations, or, if they try to chart an independent course for Pakistan like Khan tried, can be dealt with.

Suits the US, since they need to use Pakistan's airspace to fly drones to Afghanistan and can't have Pakistan fully under China’s thumb.
