The international arms merchants must be really raking it in, selling all that heavy-duty weaponry. More's the point, who's so rich as to be able to shower Boko Haram with the funding to buy all that stuff? They seem to be armed to the teeth.

Apparently a lot of the weapons have come from Libya. A lot of the Libyan Army weapons were looted during the revolution there, and have made their way to various terrorists in Africa.

Star-viking:
Yes, that is one of the predictable and the predicted result of the the stupid intervention in Libya, which replaced Gaddafi with a chaotic tribal state, in which the Al Qaeda dominates. Lots of Libyian weapons have made it to islamists in the Sinai, in Mali, and to Boko Haram in Nigeria.
We all have to live with the consequences of this idiotic political decision.

Every day another Islamist atrocity. Sometimes seems that we are slipping back into the dark ages rather than marching forward into the sunny green uplands of the future.

Why the government doesn't go in with an armed force and crush these terrorists is beyond me
another reason why religion and politics can't and won't work
