Why?

I'll state once again what an Egyptian secularist once said (As best as I can remember)   "The extremists are so busy killing others and trying to enslave them to their way of religious ideology, that they destroy people and villages where farmers who provide food for the country live.  Then wonder why they themselves go hungry because there are no farmers with time to grow crops and livestock.  So instead of learning to put down their weapons and start farming themselves, they'd rather pillage and take the crops and kill the farmers."

So Boko Haram kills fisherman, let them starve to death from their stupidity.

America always jumps into a war in the Middle East by claiming they are saving lives or bringing much needed democracy, but you never see them do anything in any African country unless they have some resources that can be of use. Remember the Rwandan genocide back in 94, there was an estimated 500,000–1,000,000 Rwandans killed then, and the US did nothing, why? Because there was nothing there to exploit!

Nigeria is oil rich and politically fractured. Like Venezuela. Watch out for more meddling in both countries from the US, Russia and/or China, the neo-colonialists.

Nigeria is a state because of British colonialism.

End modern colonialism. Stop burning so much petroleum.

Indeed.

Remember Shell and the terrible fate of Ken Saro Wiwa and fellow activists.

It's not just the big powers that meddle.

the US did nothing, why? Because there was nothing there to exploit!

So, how many "non-exploiting" countries rushed in to help?

In other words, if the US does something, then the country is blamed for being "world police", and if the US doesn't then it's because there is nothing of value to get.    This is what's called catch 22.  Can't win either way.  The world can't have it's cake and eat it to man.
