as Trump stated while president that the debt ceiling shouldn't be used as a negotiating tool,

if the US defaults then thats on the republicans, the debt ceiling is money needed to pay for US interest and the money already spent, Trump added 7.8 trillion to the debt 25% of the total., Biden has added 6%.

Now the republicans want to be fiscally responsible by holding the country to ransom for a debt of their making.

republicans want a 22% cut across the board, that includes Social security and funding for vets, look it up .

this is just 5yrs after they gave a way 1.5 trillion in tax cuts, mostly to the rich.

The reality is that our current admin just allowed it, they own, they know it, everyone along the border knows it, even Mexico knows it, no other country would allow this, but hey, as long as they send these illegals to the West Coast or East and they can drain all of their resources like California, go for it.
