Boston bomb suspect's name was on classified government watch lists

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said law enforcement should have kept a closer eye on Tsarnaev after the FBI spoke to him two years ago.

Senator Graham is a blowhard with a comment for every occasion, but I can't think of any I've heard that were of any use whatsoever --- except to help a harried news reporter fill up his article to the requisite word length.

As has been said, "When searching for a needle in a haystack, don't add more hay."

With the growth in surveillance, that's a lot of hay.

Quote: "Tsarnaev, 26, was killed in a police shootout early Friday," ...

Can't fight the power of myth.

So, anyway, where did they keep this bomb-making factory and stack of weapons? Somewhere the wife never visited?

But the list is so vast that this did not mean authorities automatically kept close tabs on him,

I guess they have millions of persons just for Boston on that list. They were able to give him a phone call the night before publishing his photo. But maybe they had only his phone number, not his address nor his photo nor even his name to google him, so they called to say : "Honey, do us a favor, tweet a few photos of your mug... "

So, anyway, where did they keep this bomb-making factory and stack of weapons? Somewhere the wife never visited?

She worked. He was the stay-at-home housewife with a preschool kid, in charge of the kitchen. Pressure-cookers ? That had to be a desperate housewife. And they are more numerous than Muslims migrants, so America is doomed !

And who would be the first to complain about the tax money required for all the 'closer eyes' who have to watch half a million people?

“After the bomb went off, don’t you think one of the first things the FBI would do is say, ‘Have we interviewed anybody in the Boston area that may fit the profile of doing this?’

Simple answer: no.

Can't this smart *ss just keep his mouth shut?

Seems like the interview was the most important part and it didn't uncover anything. By the looks of it the radicalization happened quickly and quite a few people didn't know it. Once the FBI discovered nothing the guy went back to the file cabinet. There's probably not much more they can do beyond that, unless incompetence is found after reviewing the interview.

The question seems to be: Which agency's watchlist? CIA, FBI, or other?
