Conservatives should have known better than choose a complete moron for Prime minister!

To be replaced by the by Liz Truss. The EU will be shaking in their boots. Let the Bozo clown circus roll on. In Truss' own words "Banging the dumb for Britain!".

How anyone in Britain voted for these clueless toffs is beyond me.

I agree with the above two comments!

What a mess of a government!!

I thought Brexit was done and dusted...

"BorisJohnson isn't up to the job. We deserve better than this buffoonery"

No "we" don't! "Leaders" of his clownish ilk are what you gets when millions are being groomed 24/7 by SM & MSM to think on the right, but the damage these incompetent characters are doing by their mismanagement of the pandemic is not at all funny considering the tragic toll of mass death on their watch. The abject condition of our ailing "democracies" should be ringing alarm bells as the world's ships of state list and lurch right heading for the reefs of fascism.

If conservatives were capable of knowing better, they wouldn’t be conservatives

I always think, when I read of yet another 'resignation'..... I guess they must have other incomes guaranteed..... how nice, to be able to resign, knowing they're not going to have to sign on for the dole, or lose their directorships, social status.... munneeee

Surely he'll be gone soon...

One really can’t make this up.

No sooner than had Lord Frost thrown in the towel.

Then, French minister for EU affairs, Clemént Beaune, Lyon friends refer to as boy blunder, starts huffing and puffing like a big girls blouse

If there is a political hole, boy blunder, will jump in and dig deeper.

Only for Mairead McGuinness to proceed to force both feet into the opening/cavity in the lower part of her head demanding

"I would hope that the mood will be towards compromise and problem solving, not Conservative Party politics, which I'm afraid takes the eye off the real issues, and will drag out this into next year, which is not good for Northern Ireland. If people in London are of the view that there will be no compromise, then there will be no progress and that's untenable."

"If the priority is simply to appease hardliners in the Conservative Party, I think we are in a very bad place."

McGuinness is oblivious to the fact that very bad place was reached long ago.

Mairead McGuinness has no place or mandate to make demands or threats, on an independent UK democracy.

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss whose politically ambition, a once Pro Remainer, a political chameleon, in many respects an opportunist might well be the nightmare before Christmas, for EU commission.

All in the midst of a potential Covid variant EU lockdown, and all the economic ramifications.

Johnson is sitting on an unassailable common majority.

The opposition are in effect irrelevant.

The only means to replace Johnson is within his own party.

The next general election is more than 2 years away.

Six months and Johnson could well be another casualty to the conservative political dustbin of history.

What does muddy the waters, is Omicron and the direct effects this variant has on people lives.

Update on Omicron

https://www.who.int/news/item/28-11-2021-update-on-omicron

What is Genomic Surveillance?

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/variants/genomic-surveillance.html

How this government responds to the new variant, the measures taken to balance the need to prevent the spread, the dangers to NHS acute hospital health care and the economic damage to communities up and down the country will decide whether a whole new approach to government is needed.

Lockdown or the so called circuit breaker could be rejected by the electorate as a whole.

One lockdown to many.

Remember, even with the army in reserve the police do not have the resources to enforce.

BoJo has been badly bombarded from all corners.

Why not just step down to save face?

But then who is there to take over to deal with the messy situation in UK efficiently?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Liz Truss.

Hi the road Jack!

BoJo has been badly bombarded from all corners.

He hasn't been 'bombarded' by anything not of his own making.

Lord Frost has made it clear, 100 Conservative backbenchers have made it clear, but most importantly so did the people of North Shropshire

As clear as mud. Frost is on the Tory right (a lightly regulated, low-tax, entrepreneurial economy). What about those 100 backbenchers? What about the people of North Shropshire? Are they asking for the same thing? The Tory party, much like the Labour party, is all over the place. Perhaps time for some new parties.

Perhaps time for some new parties.

I meant political parties and not Christmas parties. The UK government have had too many of the latter recently.

Boris Johnson is a widely hated figure from everyone on the far-right to the far-left.

Boris Johnson is a widely hated figure

I think 'hated' is a bit much. I would go with 'despised'.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Frost's a noboby

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

For me,despised is stronger than hated. It's like really, really hated.

Check your dictionary. Despised is contempt or a deep repugnance; regarding the despicable one as mean, petty, weak or worthless.

To hate is to feel intense or passionate dislike. Try as I might, I cannot drum up any passion for Bozo.

I don't wish him any ill; I just want him to go away.
