Prove it Elon or apoligise as a gentleman should.

Mr. Musk, as Miss Manners says, you cannot be the bride at every wedding and the corpse at every funeral.

An apology from Musk and a $1m donation to the family of the diver that died sounds about right.

Then he can get back to building his toys.

I'm so fed up with rich weirdos.

You'd be far better off keeping your mouth shut and trying to make Tesla profitable .

Demonstrates what a selfish, egotistical prat the man is. If you don’t want to play with my toys I am going to scream and drum my heels on the floor!

How many careers have been destroyed through Twitter and why are high profile people still using it? It's like is a ticking timebomb that just gets people to say stupid things and ruin their reputations.

An ox. More dollars than sense.

Twitter brings out the best in everyone.

To infer that somebody is a "pedo" wirhout any evidence is serious. Unsworth is quite right to take legal action.

Musk really does seem like a massive Hampton Wick, doesn't he. A kind of Science Trump. Hopefully Unsworth will sue and win.

Interesting how this article mentions nothing about how the diver himself started this feud, by telling Musk out of the blue to stick his submarine where it hurts. I'm not condoning Musk's pedo statement, but the diver was way out of line viciously attacking Musk, who did nothing more egregious than to offer his money and expertise in helping the cave rescue.

Looks like someone can dish it but can't take it.

That fine line between genius and nut job, says B cluster all over it to me.

"Twitter brings out the best in everyone."

Or in this case the worst. Musk apparently couldn't get his head wrapped around the fact that his contraption could not be used for this rescue and went ballistic.

Come on.... the guy told must he could shove his submarine you know where, Musk replied in anger.... but it was the Brit idiot that threw the first punch!

It’s a slam dunk libel case. Musk basically just unintentionally bought this guy a very comfortable retirement.

It's already been way too much Elon Musk, who is now attempting to inflict himself on the long-suffering people of Flint.

I love all the sudden hate for Musk's work. Oh no, first he spends his own money trying to save some trapped kids and now he has the nerve to try to help the people of Flint Michigan get clean water! What a bastard!

Yeah he got caught up in an argument and said something stupid he shouldn't have. He's still spending his own money trying to help people. So what if it's PR. Did rapidly prototyping and building a device that may have helped save some kids hurt anything? No. Is getting clean water to Flint going to hurt anyone? Definitely not. I bet the people of Flint will probably be pretty happy if they can suddenly drink their water, even if he calls each one them a pedo on Twitter.

So now I guess no rich guy can help anyone without being belittled for trying to get putting on a PR stunt. I don't blame him for being pissed off.

Perhaps the best thing for the World, would be to ditch Twitter and Facebook.

Smartest thing said today. At the very least if you make over a certain dollar amount per year, you should have it taken away.

Musk picked on the wrong guy to insult. The British know a thing or two about libel and slander. Unsworth must've been under extreme pressure to navigate a path of safety for the trapped boys and coach, and here comes this rich loudmouth making an innocuous offer. That's why Unsworth yelled back.

Did he hamper the rescue effort by sending help? Nope.
