so many suicides from eiffel? how about our own tokyo tower?

Why not just LEGALIZE suicide and keep the sidewalks around the EyeFull Tower nice and clean of this kind of horrible incident and heck legalize it here in Japan too so we can get from point A to point B on time instead of having to wait for the authorities to clean up the horrible messes from all of the suicides that go on Japan's train tracks?? But I feel so sorry for the parents of this British fellow.

I am waiting for some ideas on how the French authorities are uncaring about suicide or otherwise fumbling the ball and should make it impossible to climb the tower and jump from it, but oh, wait, this in France, not Japan.

Maybe because his problems did not have a thing to do with courage? Simplifications and slogans are not really much help.

I had no idea that the Eyefull Tower attracted so many suicidal folk, but so does the Golden Gate Bridge out in San Francisco, and I hope this does not catch on on our local Tokyo Sky Tree! Anyway, RIP British dude.

sick people gain attention, sympathy. suicidal acquire their 5 minutes of fame. both are freed from a certain mode of life...

There have been approximately 369 suicide attempts on the Eiffel Tower, at least 340 have been successful.
