Madverts, it's completely irrelevant whether Dugan was innocent or what not. That doesn't give people the excuse to burn entire buildings down and loot stores. I like this. I was afraid the scum behind this would go unpunished. I tip my hat off to the British for using this method.

I'd never rat out my buddy.

If I knew that he did something bad I'd confront him personally about it but I would never call the cops on him.

Only the lowest of the lowest would anonymously rat out a friend.

"Hahahahahahaha Yes I am a poor oppressed British citizen with no rights and receive a nightly beating from the local plod, boo hoo... Get a grip. A police state? Madverts, what propaganda have you been reading?"

The incident stemmed from the police shooting another man whilst according to eye witnesses, was pinned to the floor. The police then went on to spread mis-information such as Duggan had shot at officers - when in fact it was a police Heckler and Koch round resulting from the police shooting at each other.

"The man who the police shot had a gun, and refused to put it down. "

It's probably best to get to grips with the facts before posting such rubbish.

We're talking about the same police that shot Jean Charles de Menezes in the head seven times at point blank range just a few years earlier in 2006. Anybody appear in court charged with his murder yet?

But let's not forget the UK is a police state, and that it was the police themselves that touched off this particular blaze.

These thugs need to be arrested and sentenced. The man who the police shot had a gun, and refused to put it down. Protesters then marched on the police station demanding to know the circumstances. A young woman threw an object at the police, one officer responded 'strongly' and it all kicked off from there.

Good. Name and shame the little thugs. Breaking into peoples houses, beating innocent people to death, random wanton violence and destruction - they need to be brought to justice.

It's true the police state apparatus can help in these sort of once in a decade events....

But let's not forget the UK is a police state, and that it was the police themselves that touched off this particular blaze.

You know how many rioters were brought to justice after they were named and shamed on social networks because of cctv footage?

Hm...Big Brother is already in London?? Geez, they want the public to check out their smartphones and help them find the rioters?? I can see it helping against crime, but I can see many using it to get back at their enemies??
