Sure, have OPEN Court trials so psycos can come in off the street and have a firefight.

" now he can preach all he wants in prison."
Among some in there already he would be viewed as a hero. Louis Farrakan likely reveres that POS.

If they did it in British courts his followers would've started more terrorist acts. It isolates them. Fairness has nothing to do with this. A war is being waged against the folks that incite young foolish people from committing acts of terror.

I only say this because had this guy been American, he would most likely been tried on American courts and the government would take a keen interest on this.
Britain however, does not seem to do so. It has taken a lazy approach by getting them out of the hands and not using their own tax dollars to try their own citizens and expects a foreign government (US) to spend its tax dollars for a foreigner.
That to me, bothers me as a tax payer.

This does not make sense.
I think he deserves the sentence he got, do not get me wrong...but why did the British hand him over to the US when he was arrested by the British?
He should have been tried by the British courts!

The British authorities have take the safe approach. They are very sensitive about this, given the huge numbers of Muslim immigrants there, and are keen not to upset community relations.
The head of the Met police said a couple of years ago that "homegrown" terrorism is the country's No. 1 security threat. So they need to act very prudently, in order not to provoke further terror acts at home.
