No sports person is a "hero". They are amazing, but that is different than being a hero.

I wish her luck in politics, but doubt she is ready to be The Governator based on lacking experience.

Did you think the same about Reagan and Arnie?

Arnold was no master statesman, but he did no lasting damage. Reagan was the spark that lit the Trump conflagration.

So Caitlyn Jenner want to take the wheel of the californian government? It's a good time to roll out the vehicular-manslaughter related puns.

republicans hate transgender people, she is running in the wrong political party.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

So this may be the Repub candidate....

I wonder what the Trump supporters, Christian conservatives, and Proud Boys think of that?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Interesting development. I wish her luck.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I’m sure most Trunp supporters think this is great!

newsom already begging for donations by attacking her as supposedly being supported by Trump

The last recall there were well over 100 names on the ballot including Gary Coleman and a porn star or 2. I will wait until all of the candidates come forward to decide. At this point, I'll take Jenner any day over Gavin Newsome.

No, they don’t hate transgender people for what they are, they hate the “politics” they push on the nation, backed by the Democrats, particularly forcing society (or women to be specific) to change and force us accept them as women in every aspect which is crazy. Democrats in Washington are more concerned with transgender rights than biological born women and centuries of laws that have shielded and protected women is now under threat because these leaders are saying to us, even though you’re not a biological born male, you can compete in sports, share changing rooms and do jobs that were basically designed exclusively for women. A Transgender man will always physically have advantages over a biological female, it’s not even a competition. Who is looking out snd protecting the women? For the sake of gender acceptance biological women should just shut up and forced to integrate with Transgenders because it makes the left feel good. That is where the hatred comes from, the politicization of this.

Bass: No, they don’t hate transgender people for what they are

Meanwhile, from the GOP in Tennessee:

"LEAs (local education agencies) and public charter schools are prohibited from locally adopting or using in the public schools of this state, textbooks and instructional materials or supplemental instructional materials that promote, normalize, support, or address lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, or transgender (LGBT) issues or lifestyles."

https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/545035-tennessee-gop-bill-would-ban-textbooks-with-lgbtq-content%3famp

I'm guessing if you outlaw normalizing or even addressing transgenders in textbooks or instructional materials, its not out of love.

Hmmmm.....

*Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene** is facing sharp criticism after she posted an anti-transgender sign outside of her office, directly across the hall from another lawmaker who has a transgender child.*

*An Oklahoma lawmaker who helped revive a bill to ban transgender athletes from participating in women’s sports is coming under fire for saying transgender people “have a mental illness.” Rep. Justin Humphrey, a Republican from the southeast Oklahoma town of Lane, made the comment in an email exchange with a woman who was urging him to vote against the bill.*

And then we have Ted Cruz saying it's just too dangerous letting transgenders into women's bathrooms because they would stalk and attack our little girls.

Again, out of love.

Few people are for transgenders competing in womens sports or teaching small children about LGBT in schools or care about which toilet people use, as long as they arent bothering others.

Those are lefty policies they want to enact to secure the votes of an identity group.

Someone forgot to tell Andrew Yang how this lefty pandering works. he had a "cringeworthy" meeting yesterday and lost the LGBT endorsement for not knowing how to act or speak.

So back to the actual issue. Do you know Newsom is attacking Caitlyn, a transgender, for being too closely aligned to....Trump? wow, how could that be?

I agree, especially from Elementary School and if their board of education allows the curriculum to be taught from Middle school or from High school on up, I wouldn’t object to that.

I'm guessing if you outlaw normalizing or even addressing transgenders in textbooks or instructional materials, its not out of love.

How about asking the community allow the parents to read the curriculum and then vote on it? Then the people can decide if it’s appropriate materials they feel their kids should learn about? Seems sensible to me and you’re involving the community, might as well since you’re using their tax dollars.

"Earlier this morning, Caitlyn Jenner announced she was running for Governor of California as part of this Republican recall attempt," the email read. "What’s more, she is working closely with Donald Trump’s former presidential campaign manager and the person behind his small-dollar fundraising success.

"We're going to need help keeping up with Caitlyn's personal wealth and ability to raise money from right-wing donors now that she has Trump's team with her," the email continued. "Can you rush a $3 contribution to Gavin Newsom’s campaign to stop the right-wing Republican recall. He needs your help to keep up with the Trump team behind Caitlyn Jenner’s campaign."

Caitlyn Jenner, of the Kardashian girls empire, is "right wing, Trump team"? Please, please give me $3, begs Newsom.

the panic is real.

I agree and as a father that has daughters, I wouldn’t want it and wouldn’t stand for this push! I will never change or compromise on the issue. The left once again wants to silence anyone over including biological born women into saying you will accept this and that is wrong. If this is what the people of California want, that’s their choice, I have no problem with that, but not in Texas where I’m from and Where are her rights as a woman, a biological born woman? This is yet again, one more reason why people are fleeing these blue states and taking refuge in Red States. This would never happen in Florida.

To be fair, Trump isn’t really a conservative

He was more center left earlier in his life, but now he’s center right so....

To be fair, Trump isn’t really a conservative

He was more center left earlier in his life, but now he’s center right so....

Only because he learned quickly it is much, much easier to fleece the weak-minded right...

He's a NY Liberal - has been all his life - he's just pretending to be a conservative to grift money to pay off his bankruptcies, lawyers, and Russian oligarch loans...

It's The Big Con, same as The Big Lie...

Then there is this little auto accident Ms. Jenner had circa 2015 when she was still Bruce Jenner. He rear ended another car on Pacific Coast Highway, misjudged his speed in the rain while towing a boat, resulting in a multi car collision with one fatality. The DA was never able to prove manslaughter but there was I believe an $800,000 settlement in the resulting wrongful death lawsuit. Wonder how Ms Jenner and the Repubs will try to spin that because I am pretty sure it will be mentioned in the course of any campaign. Ms. Jenner has blamed the collision on the paparazzi. Sure thing. All she had to do was slow down. Paparazzi my aching backside. She seldom votes in elections either but suddenly feels qualified to run for governor. I guess acting in a "reality show" makes people think they are qualified for anything. Well support for a recall runs about 40% and historically most recall attempts fail. Plenty of California voters remember what happened the last time a governor was recalled and are not likely to make the same mistake again. The same right wing anti-vax mob has tried to recall state Senator Pan two different times unsuccessfully. They also petitioned to have his medical license revoked and that went nowhere as well.

as a parent and whether I’m in the states or in Japan I dictate what gets taught to my kids regarding that.

I'm a parent too. If you think you control what your school age kid learns you are delusional. Every kid in that school comes from homes with different values and with parents who discuss different things in front of their kids. All that stuff ends up openly talked about on the playground and sometimes in the classroom. They hear it all regardless of what you are fooling yourself into thinking you control. It's better not to think you can shelter your kid from anything because even sending a kid to a religious school they hear it all from their friends. Tell your kids the truth. They are going to make their own choices no matter what you do or do not do.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Yeah and Japanese kids are being taught STEM not this leftist social agenda.

So caitlyn was to run for a party which doesnt even recognize her as a human.

Not sure who is dumber, caitlyn or the dinaosaur party.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

bass: I agree

Of course you agree. The purpose of the law is to pretend transgenders don't exist. We're not allowed to speak about them or accept that they are part of society.

Right up your alley.

But hat doesn't make you a bad guy. If you think that you're a good guy, then you're a good guy. Who doesn't think transgenders exist.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Transgenders certainly exist. In fact one is running as a Republican with the support of Donald Trump.

but she and her family being attacked by liberals and Newsom within hours.

reconcile that?

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

I think Newsom and his white male privilege should just give Caitlyn his job after resigning today.

its time for the first transgender governor of our most liberal state.
