You are right, it is one of the most beautiful stretches to drive, listening to good music and smoking the locally permitted medication against backpain.... I also remember clearly that I could not detect any harm done, by all those major tsunamis that happened there in the last, well, lets say 1000 years...

I drove hwy 1 all the way and I was thinking about this. Half Moon Bay, Carmel, Montrey, Watsonville...Santa Barbara..... well you know what I am talking about.

A state that is bancrupt, closes down schools and other such totally unnecessary things, then builts protection against tsumanis, that happen there around once every 900 years. You just have to love that country....
