The state's current positivity rate is just 1%.

Great. New York is at a similar level too.

How’s Texas and Florida doing?

California has a lower death rate and infection rate per 100,000 residents than Texas or Florida. Who exactly is guilty of cranial rectosis here? These states stubbornly refused to mask up and social distance and their higher death and infection rates, not absolute numbers but numbers per 100,000 residents are both higher for it. Masks and social distancing work along with testing and contract tracing. The developed Asian nations proved this more than adequately. California could have done a lot better if so many people had not been stubbornly stupid and did the right things early in the pandemic. Rights come with responsibilities. Your rights to do what you want end when what you do imposes risks on others. Some of you do not seem to understand that.

Even when the restrictions end I will still use a mask when I go out. I will probably never again go into an airport without a mask and sanitary wipes. Lesson learned the hard way. I used to chuckle to myself seeing Asian travelers at airports wearing masks in the terminal and on the airplane. Now I am one of them. Laugh if you want but there is this little 6yo boy I want to see grow into a man.
