Parts of this article are a little late as the Tri state area (NY, CT, and NJ) are now a week into their rolling lockdowns.

One of the most horrible things to happen during this time is the rise of fraud and scams. There are people pretending to be amazon and offering work from home opportunities so they can get your bank information or have you send them a deposit for your equipment that will never show up. Also, others that are pretending to be the US government offering your relief checks but need your personal information and account information. These people are despicable

Another example of the psychopathic greed is good mentality, that of predatory capitalism. Hopefully out of this some good guys with good ideas and good products will emerge, and while they provide benefits to society are themselves able to profit. Without gouging.

Many people still don't care about coronavirus spread. Never wash hands, high touch greeting, shaking hands, kissing hugging each other, of course no mask on face,,,,,. but educated people do care about it,

An extreme overreaction which will have many unintended consequences if it is enforced (I do not know how one would enforce this)

Illinois and New York state joined California on Friday in ordering all residents to stay in their homes unless they have vital reasons to go out

What does this mean? Can people go on a bike ride? Walk in a park?

Japan is taking one extreme (not taking this serious enough) can these U.S. states (one of which my home state of Ca.) is going to the other extreme.

I went to a popular sushi shop the other day here in Japan. Not so many people were there, so there were lots of open tables. But I was surprised that they were jamming everybody together at table-booths side by side with others when they could've easily put tables between us.

Ignorance is bliss, but I don't think I'll be going back there again until this Corona Virus blows over.

Stir crazy sums it up for me. Gyms closed, friends not playing cards, no dinners with friends with restaurants closed. Yuk! But, on the good side I'm still healthy.

fxgai - Were I a right-leaning Republican voter in the US this year, I’d be giving Joe Biden my vote, while supporting the Republicans as a party in whatever those congressional votes are.

But you are not a right-leaning Republican, nor are you a Republican voter.
