New York call for volunteers brings 82,000 health care workers

But an army of health care workers heeded New York’s call for help reinforcing hospitals overwhelmed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Hats off and thank you to each of the volunteers risking their own health to serve in this crisis.

Time for governments at all levels to learn from this that public health is cornerstone to economic health, and that all government entities need to implement measures to ensure that when/if an event like this happens again the public can be somewhat assured programs are in place to deal with it.

The registered Nurse Elizabeth Schafer, 36 in this article sure shows the stress, fatigue and loss feeling in here eyes. The whole world needs to understand that these men and women not only the nurses and doctors but the cleaning crew help at the front line to contain this virus. They need more assistance from the government in terms of equipment and basic PPE made available always so these men and women can do their job. The government and so called world leaders need to understand this and do much more. I wish these men and women at the front line fighting this virus much safety and god bless.
