If so, that would be great news.

I don't think he'll resign. He's way too arrogant for that.

ok so what do you suggest dear journo?

he will go away as same as Adern in NZ and many others.will be remembered well for his actions during covid time.

With Trudeau's deep unpopularity, it is a surprise his party have not called for a spill to test the support in the party room. Surely there must be anyone else in the party capable of getting the numbers to roll Trudeau?

Or perhaps no one wants the Prime Ministership knowing they'll almost certainly be annihilated at the upcoming election.

Doesn't this really depend on who's "calling for" him to resign?

I'm not au fait with Canada's politics, but in any given political party, there's always a fringe of fruitcakes who are always unhappy. If it comes from them, it usually leads to nothing. If it comes from people who carry weight in the party, that's a different matter.

Anyway, from what I do read online, one of the alternatives is this Pierre Poilievre guy, who seems to have a bit of a Trump complex (the whole "I'm persecuted by the elites and fight for the common man" shtick) and who's on a similar political track to Trump.

Still, if Trudeau does quit, I'm sure Melania will be on the phone with a one-way invite to her bedroom.

He he, he’s a demonic control freak and also has a history of racism on numerous occasions. Canada can do far better.

Trudeau will not go, he is dragging the entire country down with him.

No, he is not a "Hitler" by any means at all except in that he is such a flawed human that even in the objective face of needing to go, he is willing to deliver the country into unconditional defeat at and cause pain and hardship to citizens only to protect is mentally addled ego. And like charismatic cult leaders such as Jim Jones Trudeau's accolades are all willing to drink the poison.
