American refugees - try Germany first. They're very welcoming.

Canada will be too close to the nuclear fallout

Take a look at a map and see how close Japan is to North Korea....and which way does the wind blow. North Korea keeps testing/failing missiles.

That is concerning to me.

so basically you are saying all of the US except for the native tribes who incidentally came from Asia are weak and lack character and fortitude? Your argument is also what some folks in 1930 told the Jewish families leaving Europe as well

.

This isn't a genocidal holocaust. Get real. This is a political upheaval and they're wussing out. Apple and oranges.

Canada will be too close to the nuclear fallout -- has to be the southern hemisphere, as far south as you can get. Though whether or not you would want to survive is a big consideration.

At first I thought this was a joke. Then I realized that the real joke is America.

If, and it's a big IF, any Americans want to come to Canada because of a pitiful electoral process and it's culmination in a boob for a president, that's okay by me. But I can assure anyone who cares to comment on the possibility that it won't be anything like the exodus that happened during the Vietnam war draft of the '60s. More like a tempest in a teapot; the waters will be roiled for a few months, and then becalmed. Give it a rest.

they'll find out you can't just move to Canada but require a job here if you want to immigrate otherwise you'd be a refugee. The immigration process take years

You're better off trying to save your own country. But if a majority can't vote for that, then it's okay to leave. Just be prepared for the long haul

Good riddins if the so call americans want to leave the US for Canada good it goes on to show you the mind set of the people who backed Hiliary. I guess they will try to go to Canada and get welfare hand outs instead of working and making a honest living. Perhaps now the TRUTH has been told and DING DONG THE WITCH IS GONE!!!

In US you can impeach the person in power, but in Canada, you cannot. People of Ontario still stuck with the same corrupted party for the 4th time.- major M of SM. Anyway, the next 4 years WILL BE entertaining.

I have to be honest, while I can sympathize with these people and the urge to leave the Ayn Rand novel the US has become to let it die its own death, it's those people that are needed to make the US better again in the long run, and I don't think Canada needs people who are just running away. If they are TRULY fed up and can contribute to Canada's progress while the US digresses, though, I suppose it can't hurt -- especially when all the big name companies start leaving.

I suspect, as with Rand novels, it won't be long before Trump starts floating the idea that any big companies or people trying to leave will be arrested and tried for treason or some such force to keep them in.

Honest Dictator

When you immigrate to another country it is because you've given up hope and are not willing (nor apparently have the strength of heart) to stick it out and try to help your country become better

so basically you are saying all of the US except for the native tribes who incidentally came from Asia are weak and lack character and fortitude? Your argument is also what some folks in 1930 told the Jewish families leaving Europe as well.

By all means, let those who swore to leave the US if Trump won pack up and move to the Socialist utopia of Venezuela.

Lets see. According to statistic most the GOP's supporters are blue collars. Should most, if not enough, educated, skilled and tech savvy white collars leave the country what would happen then? :)

But all lines are open on JET Programme and Eikaiwa sites.

Teaching English abroad looks a little better now, huh? ...

Of course, Trumpica will soon be foreclosing on Japan so there is that...

Sixteen so called celebrities in the USA said they would leave the USA if Mr. Trump won may be the reason for the computer crash. Good-bye-Au revoir is how it is said in Canada. What is the point? They have 16 votes.Everyone has an opinion, and it has to be respected.

Bunch of idiots either way. Here is a the problem with immigration. When you immigrate to another country it is because you've given up hope and are not willing (nor apparently have the strength of heart) to stick it out and try to help your country become better. Tails between their legs, and Canada isn't going to be too keen about a bunch of American's trying to move into their country.

On another note.... I REALLY REALLY don't want the responsibility, but this ****s gotta stop. Honestdictator is going to start trying out for politics. Gawd I hate my life....

I don't want to, but if anyone knew just how incensed and seething with rage I am about how our country is running.... First step is to build a noticeable integrated party of Unaffiliated, Independent, Moderate, wisdom encouraging, US citizen advocating, for the people by the people, anti-establishment politicking. I don't care if someone is hard Democrat or hard Republican, I only accept good ideas and legislature that helps the COUNTRY, not the small few. A moderate independent party that provides to glue and balance between the right and left that has been very much needed for decades.

Looks like it's time for me to get on with it.

Breaking: Trump 238, Hillary 218 including California and New York, and. oh my, Trump has a narrow lead in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire...
