Makes me wonder why they bought the tickets? Very strange...

Man oh man, this is the beautiful, kindhearted people I have ever met in my life, all Canadians, can be proud of this couple, donating this money away, bless their pure hearts.

Wow, this couple is in a different league... waaaay beyond a level of charity than I can comprehend. Good for them, but they're too good for me. ; )

Here's something more from Postmedia News:

Violet, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, just finished her final chemotherapy treatment last week...."We haven't spent one cent on ourselves because we've been too busy getting everything looked after and with my health, I have to wait to get my health back to get the energy to do anything. We're not travellers anyway. We live in the country and we're proud of it. Money can't buy you health or happiness."

Nova Scotians are some of the nicest people. Good for this couple and their family. Contrast this with all those winners who lose it all, or bicker and fight and get divorced and then lose it all.

The national 6/49 lottery is a lump-sum, tax-free payment by the way. Not like those namby-pamby American lotteries where they tax it as income and take twenty years to give it to you. lol.

Good on Em ,very rare to find folks like this these days....

Good on these guys, so long as they were living well enough and happy before the win. And heck, it certainly won't hurt the charities. For these guys, playing the lottery was probably just a past-time.

I should try that. Trick my mind into believing im gonna give away the money and then go and play my numbers :)
