Representative Chaney and I agree on virtually nothing and I’m on the verge of cutting her a check (I’ve never donated to a candidate of either party before).

if you have not read the op-Ed, I highly recommend it. She expertly dissects Trump and his sycophants as a danger to democracy and a cancer on the Republic.

Congresswoman Chaney does not back down to bullies and Trump and McCarthy don’t realize that they’ve picked a fight with a pit bull.

She will be a force regardless of her leadership position in the GOP.

liberals even supporting Liz Cheney now just because she cant be quiet about her dislike for Trump.

What a bizarro world it is.

If you are constantly interrupting the agreed upon message of your group with your own personal feeeelings. you gotta go. She has been given multiple opportunities to continue to have her own opinions but stop talking for a minute.

Cant do it.

So bye Liz.

When the thing she is asked to be quiet about is the fact that there was no election fraud, then asking her to be quiet is barking mad.

In leadership or not, she won’t be quiet and her words will count for more than any of the drivel that spews from McCarthy’s mouth.

Tick, tick, tick…Liz.

yep quite sure she will have a million dollar book deal just like every other Trump hater.

By now, it almost seems why some people are so openly hateful, to get the book deal and the paid contributor spot on CNN.

There's no way it could be Trump's hateful rhetoric that Ms. cheney objects to. It's certainly not his naked criminality. And it's definitely not the fact that Donald never won the popular vote, lost the house, and then lost both senate seats in Georgia.

Liz Cheney showing all the pro-Trump Repub MAGA-Eunuchs who has a real pair...

A majority of Republicans believe The Big Lie, or at least pretend to. But there's still a chunk who don't, and those people will be turned off by the purge. If they continue to go after people like Cheney their base will continue to shrink.

And I'm fine with that.

Repubs in public: "The Dems are waging a war against conservatives - it's a "cancel culture" taking away our freedom to speak and be heard"...

Repubs in private: "Cheney is out there speaking the truth about Trump - we need to "cancel" her ASAP"...

Tick, tick, tick…

Says the NY Southern and Manhattan District Attorneys...

The funny thing to me is that I firmly believe that great majority of Republicans in Congress do not really believe the election was stolen but are simply too afraid to say so. The far right elements of their party have them running scared. All of them wish to stay in office and will do or say whatever they think is necessary to get their constituents to vote for them. Honor and the truth for them is immaterial. Ultimately this is going to make Republicans unelectable. Remember California sent two Republicans to the White House and had many Republican governors and Republican majorities in both houses. Their anti-immigrant rhetoric and policy positions plus their incessant demands to cut taxes and with them cut services along with occasionally hateful comments from Republican lawmakers eventually so alienated the state that today there are no Republicans in statewide office and both houses of the Legislature have Democratic supermajorities. The state has annual budget surpluses, record revenues this year and the state's GDP growth has outpaced that of the US since 2008. Republicans have little to offer that Californian's want are reviled in much of the state.

What a contrast....

Liz Cheney stands her ground, criticizes Trump, and shows what strength of character really is...

Ted Cruz grovels at Trump's feet even after Trump called Cruz's wife was ugly and his father a terrorist...

So, which one is the strong, principled conservative and the other a weak, "sniveling coward"?

Ultimately this is going to make Republicans unelectable.

They'll still have a chance in Congress where rural votes count more than urban votes. Democrats need something like 3-5% more votes than Republicans to win majorities, meaning Republicans can still control that branch even as a minority.

The White House is a different story. As to why they are following a guy who just got crushed is beyond me, but I'm not going to stop them.

The true definition of cancel culture. It’s not only politically incorrect to speak Ill of the golden calf, it’s a mortal sin.

The GOP is a Trump-worshipping cult.

liberals love pushing this falsehood over and over.

Actually GAINED 12 seats in the House. smallest margin in 80 years.

Just won the House election in Texas. anti-Trump candidate that Cheney wanted got a sad 3%

lost the house,

liberals love pushing this falsehood over and over.

lol Not a falsehood. When Trump entered the Whitehouse, Republicans controlled all 3 branches of government. They lost all three. Trump backed candidates in Georgia lost both senate races. How does that happen? lol

Just won the House election in Texas

You know the Republican party is in a sad state of affairs when they're bragging about winning an election in Texas.

anti-Trump candidate that Cheney wanted got a sad 3%

Yeah and? That candidate might not have done well in Texas, but Republicans certainly aren't growing their base by pushing nonsensical conspiracy theories believed only by the fringes of the Republican party.

"I am a conservative Republican, and the most conservative of conservative values is reverence for the rule of law.

No. This has nothing to do with conservatism. This has to do with being law abiding- something that is not intrinsically the property of any party, or movement. It is snide remarks and propaganda such as this that has helped create the current situation, where people think that because they call themselves conservatives, they get to decide what passes for the rule of law.

I wonder if Ms Cheney realizes how ironic it is that she claims respect for the rule of law is a conservative value, when people claiming to be conservatives break the law with such regularity and support presidents whose administrations are chock full of corruption.

This didn't start with the former guy. Going all the way back to Nixon, republican administrations have been rife with corruption and illegality. Ms Cheney also does not recognize the irony of the fact that Vice President Cheney helped orchestrate a war based on lies and misinformation.

I respect Ms Cheney's principled stand on elections. She should also be aware that Donald Trump did not create this current mess. The republican party created it by engaging in lies and propaganda for half a century. Trump is the outcome, not the cause.

73% of Republicans believe Joe Biden cheated. thats not a fringe.

73% of Republicans believe Joe Biden cheated. thats not a fringe.

You got me there, Republicans are just that stupid. Thanks.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Did you give money to Trump?

Instead of Trump playing music from artists who don’t want to be associated with him, he should just play the Sting soundtrack at his speeches.

73% of Republicans believe Joe Biden cheated. thats not a fringe.

About the same number of Republicans ( 72% )were on board with birtherism in 2016.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

And 40% of all Americans as well. Likely more as it was a liberal slanted poll. Also not a fringe.

Lololol Totally half the country believes that nonsense. :D

2 ( +2 / -0 )

73% of Republicans believe Joe Biden cheated...

They also believe that pizza parlors are dangerous, COVID is caused by 5G network towers, and the government is rampant with Alien Lizards...

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Black: 73% of Republicans believe Joe Biden cheated. thats not a fringe.

So the GOP base will take a hit on the other 27%. Slice it any way you want, but going after Cheney will split your party even more.

Should be fun to watch.

So of course Cheney is gone. after Not in a leadership role she can then fist bump Biden and plagiarize dem memorandums all she wants. Well until she is removed from congress as well.

Amen brother, this is the party of Trump and we're all here to worship the orange idol. If you're not singing Donald's praises, I don't want to hear it. Trump loves me and I love him.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Believing something is true doesn’t make it true.

My own theory is that everyone with a brain has left the party and those that remain are what would previously have been called the lunatic fringe.
