“We need to pursue dialogue and inclusiveness over confrontation and exclusion," he said.
Wow! Now if that wasn’t a Pinocchio statement of the century, I really don’t know what is. I guess Xi thinks most of the world doesn’t have access to the TV, internet, or archived files. Smh….

US, will only talk through barrel of a GUN, trusting US government is your worse nightmare.

China never used a gun, at least not what we can see publicly, but China with its long, long history of distrust worldwide and lack of honesty and transparency historically, Xi is the absolute last person to make such an outlandish statement.

Only war without allies, US fought and won make a guess.

China has disputes with all of its neighbors and with countries which are not even neighbors.
Dialogue and Cooperation, ROFL!!!!

Stop messing with Taiwan. We can't accept force and CCP aggression, the same way you can't accept Taiwanese independence.
This is the best you'll get:
A Taiwan that's not recognize by the world.
No USA bases on Taiwan.
No Japanese bases.
No Nuclear weapons.
That's what we agreed in the past. No one said you can use force to settle the issue. Your breaking the deal you agreed upon if you do so.

Money and bribery helps. The Chinese even have a great dialogue with many African nations, while they plunder all of their natural resources right under their noses.

Sorry (not really) China, but how you treat your own and others will determine how much we believe what you say and what you intend to do.

Xi absolutely needs to acknowledge the treatment of Ughyurs and general human rights violations within China before he can credibly be listened to. An openness toward Wuhan and general transparency would obviously help us believe his words. And because censorship is so prevalent in China, Xi's words are deceptive and implausible.

Xi . . . handle disputes with dialogue and cooperation. ... What a bunch of BS!
Tell that to the Uighur people. Tell that to the people of Hong Kong. Oh, and stop militarizing the South China Sea. Everybody was much happier with the way it was before.

OK Mr Xi, how about complying with the decision of this multilateral organization?
China has said it will not accept a ruling against it in a key international legal case over strategic reefs and atolls that Beijing claims would give it control over disputed waters of the South China Sea. The judgment by an international tribunal in The Hague came down overwhelmingly in favour of claims by the Philippines
The Chinese president, Xi Jinping, said China’s “territorial sovereignty and marine rights” in the seas would not be affected by the ruling, which declared large areas of the sea to be neutral international waters or the exclusive economic zones of other countries.

What China is doing in Xinjiang is absolutely horrific, there is a genocide happening there and a whole generation is being forced to forget their religion and culture.
Fighting extremism and putting millions in concentration camps are not comparable.
While I dont support mixing sports and politics but the sheer scale of brutality in Xinjiang should result in responsible nations boycotting the Winter Olympics.

And if that doesn’t work, we’ll descend like a hoard of locusts with our “civil” fishing fleet.....
