OK! Great. So, China is in the clear now. Great. NOT!

the world’s richest communist

I thought under communism everyone shared the wealth and no one was rich or poor. Hmmm...

He is not communist and neither is China running a communist system. They have an authoritarian oligarchy that runs on easily dispelled lies, much the same as so many other countries claiming to have democratic governments and capitalist systems. Similar trash different label.

...additional it would be nice if they finally tell the world the truth how they engineered and released their Virus from the laboratory in Wuhan.

Empty gestures.

Now might be the right time to tweak that old saying of "Beware of Greeks bearing gifts" for a more modern take.

Dodgy masks, PPE,... you name it.

Due in large part to 'western' corporations using China for their own benefits, and China in turn profiting from western corporations, and with Trump isolating America from the world stage, and with Russia's economy hurt, perhaps temporarily from low oil and gas prices, and dozens of other reasons China is currently the globe's most powerful empire. It's reach its position of dominance NOT by being 'Communist', instead by being a predatory nation that's political-economic system is probably best described as authoritarian capitalism. Not dramatically different from Russia's nor the one Trump's pushing in the US. NB I am NOT supporting the Chinese system, nor Russia's nor America's.

Coming from China, there is no free lunch, all is string attached.

Amid the virus crisis troubling almost every states, Beijing has never wasted time by sending "armed" fishery boats into neighboring seas for territorial claims.

How do we know these ventilators manufactured with the virus built in?

Can't wait for these Chinese companies to announce the availability of a effective vaccine......a vaccine they probably had all along since they engineered the virus. By delaying availability, they have stimulated desperate demand and can drive up the price significantly and profit accordingly.

And the world is willing to pay ANY price for such a vaccine. Very shrewd and opportunist on the part of the CCP.

Can they first admit that Kung Flu was China’s fault in the first place and reassured the world they will clean up their act , literally!

John Franklin - He is not communist and neither is China running a communist system.

Why do the communists keep self-identifying as communists?

As the coronavirus spread, the world’s richest communist dug into his deep pockets.

Jack Ma, founder of e-commerce giant Alibaba Group and a member of the ruling Communist Party, helped to pay for 1,000 ventilators delivered to New York in April. Ma's foundation also is giving ventilators, masks and other supplies in Africa, Latin America and Asia.

Why do the communists keep self-identifying as communists?

For the same reason North Korea calls itself the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

BigYen - The article says Jack Ma helped to pay for 1,000 ventilators delivered to New York. Last time I looked New York was part of the USA, yet some people still carp and whine. What, you don’t want the ventilators? You don’t want poor countries with inadequate health systems to receive aid so their citizens can live instead of die?

New York City wanted 30,000 of the 50,000 ventilators the U.S. had. NYC only received 3000 of those, and didn't need them all. If Jack Ma wanted to send ventilators to NYC, I think that was a nice gesture. If you want Jack Ma to send ventilators to poor countries, you should probably send him a nice latter, and hope for the best.
