U.S., China brace for long haul in trade dispute

I can't really see how China could win a trade war with the US ... unless they are just hoping that Trump will lose the next election.

The US has been crying out for years for more balanced trade with China but nothing happened.

then they had these recent talks over a few months and then China pulled out of its previously agreed points.

It will be interesting to see what happens, to my mind, both countries need each other but China needs the US more than vise versa

That's what they're hoping for all right. They must be pissed at the Dems who don't look like they're going to nominate anyone who could beat Trump.
