"They're very sensitive … when we suggest they haven't been that forthcoming,"

I sign that something is being hidden. You think?!!?

For 2+ yrs, China locked down anyone with covid internally.

Then 2 months ago, after a few protests, they completely remove lockdowns, testing, travel restrictions, everything.

Seems like they don't plan anything. At least, not very well.

Two flights into Milan from China had everyone on board tested for Covid. Over 50% had the virus.

I have a dream when the Chinese govt cares less about "saving face" and more about reasonable freedoms, the health of normal Chinese and is known to always tell the truth. That's my dream. For now, it seems like a fantasy.

For three years, China has done everything possible to protect its citizens. While the rest of the world have been killing their people softly. Covid has mutated to the point that it’s no longer that virulent, people still get sick but not as serious as in the beginning. More than 80% of the people in the West already have Covid, they were dropping like flies in the beginning, and now most of them don’t bother to check any more. When China was closed, they blamed China, and now China is opening up, they again blame China. No matter what China does, it’s never good enough. Are they not getting tired of this? In fact, China should thank the West for limiting exposure of Chinese tourists to the new variants going around in the West. Chinese tourists should spend their money in the countries that welcome them.

More than 1 million Chinese dead from the zero covid lockins. 250,000 with covid infections. The government no longer releases data. Families cremating their loved ones in the streets.

"Facts have proved that China has always, in accordance with the principles of legality, timeliness, openness and transparency, maintained close communication and shared relevant information and data with the WHO in a timely manner," Mao said.

The whole pandemic happened because this was not done by the Chinese government, not to their own people nor to the international medical authorities. Response to covid was delayed because China refused to provide evidence of human to human transmission to protect their own interests, making a lot of necessary measures unjustifiable.

This is a pattern of hiding as much information as possible whenever they can get away with it. Excuses will not prevent the hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths that are happening.

For three years, China has done everything possible to protect its citizens

No, it has not, other countries have a much better strategy that did not involve represstion and unjustifed lockdowns thanks to the protection offered by safe and effective vaccines as well as other scientifically based measures that allowed limited transmission without huge increases of the risks. China choose not to follow the same path and focused only on unsustainable measures that let the government have better control of the population, thus causing the current disaster.

No matter what China does, it’s never good enough

If China choosed to follow the best available scientific and medical advice from the world experts it would be free of criticism, but by doing the opposite then it takes completely the responsibility of the problems.

WHO has been playing puppet to the deceitful CCp regime of China that is responsible for what the world is going through right now.

Had it not hidden crucial info about the Wuhan virus, we'd have dealt with the virus better!

"What's happening right now is exactly what climate scientists warned us about 10, 20 years ago, and that can no longer be prevented now," Smid said.

That is demonstrably false by many different reports of various sources, which ended up causing not only the pandemic but also the current crisis on their population, there are no reports that qualify the Chinese information as transparent but many that explicitly criticize it for being obscure or even false.
