What about the covid lab leak investigation?

If Joe’s smile didn’t reduce tensions between the two countries, nothing will.

deterioration in relations that accelerated under former U.S. President Donald Trump

Trump did serve Xi a really good chocolate cake at one of his his golf resorts, which US taxpayers paid for.

and Trump did say many positive things about Xi as the pandemic was spreading

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/15/trump-china-coronavirus-188736

And similar to dictator Kim; Trump also said "he loved Xi', that they loved each other". Mutual beliefs in predatory capitalism and disdain for the non-elite attract after all.

Xi warning that the U.S. and Taiwan are playing with fire over the self-governing island that China considers part of its territory.

China is also "playing with fire" with threats of invasion. China should also watch out or IT will be the one that gets burned.

President Biden recognizes that Xi "doesn't have a democratic bone in his body"....

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-biden-china-idAFKBN2BH2ZE

In comparison to the previous guy that gave the CCP millions (and still does) and has lavished Xi with praise...

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/15/trump-china-coronavirus-188736

Even to the extent to say "it's great" and "he's great" for declaring himself dictator for life....

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-trump-china-idUSKCN1GG015

And when the heel of the CCP came down on democracy protesters in Hong King, you know who had Xi's back....

*Trump has voiced his strongest support for Chinese President Xi Jinping, not the protesters seeking democratic reforms, p*raising the Communist leader as “a good man in a ‘tough business.’”

“If President Xi would meet directly and personally with the protesters, there would be a happy and enlightened ending to the Hong Kong problem,” Trump tweeted Thursday. “I have no doubt!”

And we have no doubt about Trump's utter and complete incompetence and admiration for dictators and tyrants...

As long as US continue to weaken and lose their world hegemony with China, Taiwan will be the interventionist pretext to try to stop the GREAT AND UNSTOPPABLE advance of the great Red Dragon of the East..

It is time for a new world order..

And this new order speaks and read CHINESE !!..

If China can sort out its blackouts first. If you want to be the next superpower, it helps to have electricity! LOL!

President Xi looks very happy about his continued, prosperous, long relationship with the Bidens.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Looking at the lead photo it looks like while both are smiling for the sake of posterity, one can image each of them calling the other a bad name under their breath. Xi was posted in the US for a time to study US agriculture and apparently speaks English to some extent.

It’s a genuine smile, a warm Thanksgiving family gathering seeing an old friend type of smile. Don’t see Joe as duplicitous. He just may not be as strong a leader as some would like. Xi looks the same.

You can't even safely drink the tap water in China. Everyone drinks bottle water. Big ol' Shanghai, their second largest city with a population greater than many countries and most US states, and financial capital of China but something as basic as safe tap water is beyond their ability to provide. Men's rooms in really big hospitals have no soap and no paper towels or hand dryers. Same in restaurants. Gross. See a cook leave the stall, rinse their hands in cold water and head back to the kitchen. No heat, everyone wears parkas indoors during the cold winter months. Fancy looking medical office or restaurant and no heat. We'll see how long the Chinese put up with endless sudden lockdowns every time there is a covid case somewhere.

Of course! Who else if not China will provide all the supplies and materials for the infrastructure project.

Sounds like Flint, MI

“If China-U.S. relations cannot return to the past, they should face the future,”

lipstick on a pig.

Yeah right, like the corporate MSM is actually gonna talk truth about the global corporate scam going on for decades. I still haven’t once seen any corporate news ask why the US postal service can charge China so little to ship a coffee cup to the US, but charge a US business much much more. This can only be achieved through corrupt politicians.

It is time for a new world order..

And this new order speaks and read CHINESE !!..

LOL

If China becomes the new world order, it’s pretty much guaranteed it won’t last long, much like 80% of the plastic products they make.

Trump did serve Xi a really good chocolate cake at one of his his golf resorts, which US taxpayers paid for.

And Biden said exactly what to Xi about being careful not to think about invading Taiwan?

and Trump did say many positive things about Xi as the pandemic was spreading

Xi called Biden old friend, Biden denies that, why would Xi do that? Someone is lying here. You don’t call someone old friend if you met them for the first time, takes years and years of trust and having a deep relationship to call someone that.

And similar to dictator Kim; Trump also said "he loved Xi',

He probably did, at least he was honest about it.

that they loved each other". Mutual beliefs in predatory capitalism and disdain for the non-elite attract after all.

Dunno, with this infrastructure monstrosity big tech seems to be very happy, the richest people in the country that work in Silicon Valley and Hollywood are excited about this, but yeah they do have to destain and contempt for the average Working Man.

wolfpack:

What about the covid lab leak investigation?

That's what I'd like to know too. However, America refuses to allow investigators into Fort Detrick. You know, the place where numerous outbreaks have happened, the latest of which was a 'respiratory outbreak' in mid-2019 which lead to deaths in a Virginia retirement home and god knows how many other people.

Peter14:

China is also "playing with fire" with threats of invasion. China should also watch out or IT will be the one that gets burned.

China has always insisted that Taiwan was a part of China, and so does practically every country on the planet, and the KMT themselves. The only ones playing fire are the ones trying to find excuses to start YET another war. Just waiting for the WMD.

Strange how Xi was able to make greetings while looking at the camera, while Biden had to keep referring to notes. Anyway, there was a time when these two were able to be friendly, but Biden has been put into a hole, not helped by the fact that, suddenly, last year, Pompeo delists ETIM as a terrorist organization. Why? So that America can legally start funding a terrorist organization.

US general called China over fears Trump could order war

(news source)

The worst part is over with Trump gone. Him refusing to accept loss made this happen and hopefully Biden can fix things.

What about the covid lab leak investigation?

I checked around in the Science Fiction section of Netflix and could find no such story. But I'm sure those evil Wuhan Scientists are brewing up the next batch of COVID-20.

You confuse decades old documents with current peoples opinions and they are poles apart.

A vast majority of "people" in most nations do not go along with those documents even if their governments remain silent. The fact that everyone including governments oppose any attempt to force reunification of Taiwan with China should get through to everyone.

There is no right to force capitulation and any attempt to do so by force will be China starting a war and playing with fire.

and the KMT themselves.

KMT believe they are the rightful rulers of all of China that is different to believing they should be under CCP rule. If they believed that then they would have reunified peacefully decades ago.

What did Trump do over Hong Kong, nothing?

What is he supposed to do? Xi was the one that started threatening to go into HK and establish its mainland rule on the Nation prematurely and a crackdown on dissidents and Biden did nothing as more and more soldiers pour in from Bejing.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Trump couldnt do anything much, as he and XI are not "old friends" like XI and Biden are.

Yet, Biden has done nothing either and didnt even mention COVID, hmmm....letting an old friend "off the hook" for his responsibility for a global pandemic?

What did Trump do over Hong Kong, nothing?

What did Trump do when? This year February, or March? Probably nothing--because he wasn't the president then,

Here is a little history to disprove your blanket statement:

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/29/trump-taking-action-to-eliminate-special-treatment-for-hong-kong.html

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

for his responsibility for a global pandemic?

How so?

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

no conspiracy about that.

Yes, correct- Covid was not created in a lab

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

rump couldnt do anything much, as he and XI are not "old friends" like XI and Biden are.

That's debatable. The fat guy was full of praises when he needed Xi to help out with the upcoming US elections. He was also glad that Xi could help out with his and Ivanka's trademarks in China and god-knows what business interest they have there. And wasn't Xi or someone else thrilled by the fat guy's grandchildren's knowledge of the Chinese language.

I even remember when the fat guy was full of praises when talking about Xi's handling of the pandemic (until Xi didn't want to help him win the 2020 elections).

Biden reveals US Taiwan policy after call with Xi :

In short, Biden says, 'We'll protect Taiwan if it is invaded.'

Why use so many words instead, seemingly trying to be evasive, using the 'unilateral' 1979 Relation Act as an illusive shield.

What says Xi..?

What was Obama supposed to do about Crimea which happened very quickly?

Supply and give aid to our allies.

Hong Kong happened during Trump's watch, not Biden's.

Trump is not President and now China ratcheted up the rhetoric and imposed.

What is American prepared to do over Taiwan?

Good question, what is Biden going to do? HE said, he will help defend China, Xi says Biden won't, so that means another lie from this admin. Afghanistan, Ukraine, and now Taiwan, no wonder our adversaries feel so emboldened.
