Where and what have you been doing, Japan? China is everywhere including Africa, and Australia to find natural resources to get ahead of Japan..Japan needs to be aggressive.

Donchaknow? Beijing is claiming ownership of the Arctic based on historical records. It actually had an ancient kingdom on the Arctic; that's why it wants to be part of the Arctic Council even though it's thousands of miles away and has nothing to do with it.

@lostrune2, are you serious? Crazy and crazier!!
Is there any document I can read on that? I am sure I am not the only one who want to know about it.

globalwatcher,
Tongue-in-cheek.
But the concept that people could believe it says something about Beijing, heh.

Japan has become pretty aggressive indeed when it comes to inter-party fights & eye- catching acts to stir up external 'threats' in order to divert the Japanese citizens' attention elsewhere away from the internal 'bread-&-butter' issues.
Long term goals & far reaching visions are not on the agenda -- not because they are idiots -- but they are too smart to address short term issues when they are in office.
