they do it now at the airport, photo scan and fingerprint scans, it may seem that Japanese are immune but theyre scanned when they go to other countries, conveniently those countries have intelligence sharing meaning its highly likely the J government has access to the fingerprints of its own nationals, and vise versa

Not necessarily. A Japanese person who has two passports and only travels between those two countries can avoid any kind of fingerprinting and scanning.

But, this is for the safety of everyone. What could possibly go bad?

I'll happily keep using my pre-paid, cash-only, cell phone and leave it in airplane mode most of the time.
