It's China that is meddling in other countries affairs here. Their biggest meddling was invading Tibet, which is not part of China.

China said Monday it opposed foreign leaders meeting the Dalai Lama “in any form”, ahead of a public appearance by the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader with U.S. President Barack Obama.

China -- take a long walk off a short pier. If you think you do yourself any good by telling the leader of one of the world's leading democracy -- one founded on religious freedom and freedom of expression -- not to meet with a leader of a major religious sect, it shows how clueless you are. Tell Obama not to sell weapons to Taiwan if you choose, but going anywhere near religion, or the freedom to practice it, is simply waving a red flag in front of a bull.

What's surprising with this? It's the usual chinese government doing. They know they are the culprit for Dalai Lama and Tibet.
