Congratulations!

Now let the UN come to Wuhan and fully investigate what happened there so the rest of the world will be better prepared for the next time this happens.

Forewarned is forearmed.

How nice.

AFTER the Chinese government's ineptitude had ensured that the virus would spread to all corners of the globe, creating misery and uncertainty everywhere.

17 ( +24 / -7 )

Right as they expelled foreign journalists! I highly doubt it.

20 ( +23 / -3 )

If that's true, good for China and good for the world.

Having said that, I just can't trust what Chinese government reports.

17 ( +20 / -3 )

This is a bit encouraging, I hope its true and that it can be replicated elsewhere.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Yeah, right.

China reports

Everything after that needs to be taken with big spoon of salt.

Waetu Low is the name of the ChiComGov Official that released the Statement!

Anyone else seen their apology yet? Nope.

The World Health Organisation needs to have serious reconsideration over its member states. China in but Taiwan not..??

I know allot of stuff that comes out of there is suspect but kudos to them for their great efforts. I think they are out in front of it...perhaps the rest of the world will get out there soon as well.

All of the infected countries must give a strong message to China that live meat markets are no longer acceptable and all must be closed down. Too many Chinese keep animals in their living spaces which is also the potential for spreading diseases.

LongTermer,

Well said. Hopefully this gives the rest of the world some indication of how things might go in their own countries.

Having said that, the rest of the world has to pile the pressure on to China to get rid of those wildlife markets that have caused both this and the SARS epidemics. You’d think the Chinese wouldn’t need any encouragement to do that, but Covid-19 has shown us that they do.

first time?

Everything about the 'current' 70 year old China is a facade. The numbers are fake, the products are copies, and life is cheap. That's something the current Chinese government has created. The world seems to get upset about things like Tibet but rarely much is done. This time due to the Chinese government's poor management of their food chain, not only did they cause themselves great harm but they pulled the entire world into their mess. This is causing EVERYONE problems. I know plenty of people that have lost their jobs because of this and may not be able to cover their rent or mortgage, buy food and pay bills in a couple of months. Forget trying to find toilet paper in most parts of the world, most countries are now closed off and the number of new cases and deaths have gone vertical. Some reports say it may take six months to end this which will about the time that we head into the next Flu season. The Chinese government has screwed us all and we are all paying for it. Some with their lives...

Don't believe it came from market. More likely escaped from their lab of infectious diseases located in that city.

-1 ( +9 / -10 )

Sure. Coming from the country that invented this China-virus in the first place. They’ll still continue to eat animals from which the virus can be contracted and continue to exercise zero hygiene for their open air markets / killer China-virus breeding grounds.

Every country in the world should demand compensation from China for what they’ve done.

Good work China.

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

Olympics will push through as scheduled.. in China =)

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

At least demand compensation first from the countries where other diseases originated like sars MERS ebola etc.

Otherwise you might be called racist.

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

ian SARS

started in china too so your point is ?

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Lol so?

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Of course it’s a big fat lie!

-1 ( +6 / -7 )

They pass along to Europe, we will see how they deal with the virus, they might spread to africa.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

the globe is fighting an "infodemic"

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Jeez, viruses don't discriminate, folks.

All around the world, people are trying to come together. Why are some still hell bent on creating schisms and petty nativism?

-2 ( +5 / -7 )

Vince, you have no knowledge of law, American can sue American companies for being infected on their prop

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

PRC credibility = ZERO.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

I don't believe this one bit. However, the American MSM is running with PRC talking points now because they see the Chinese as an ally against Trump now that China has jumped on the "Trump is Racist" bandwagon.

I smell I smell I smell........ B.S

Yes it is totally bizarre how the Western MSM is in the pockets of the CCP. Then again, for many it is profitable. I.e. Mike Bloomberg got rich from mainland China, don´t expect anything that the CCP dislikes on his service.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Excellent, if true. OTOH, "reported" cases are just a view into actual cases.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Hopefully, if this is true, the coronavirus maybe already beginning to 'run its course' in China. It sounds encouraging. Now the rest of us need to use our heads and we can muddle thru it too.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Anyone else seen their apology yet? Nope.

Unfortunately. And while all other countries will make public reports on how things could have been handled better, don't expect China to do one. Why? Because their intentions in whitewashing their bit in this mess are clear in plain sight. Not taking responsibility is a hell lot more dangerous than admitting mistakes because it opens the door to more failures in the future. After SARS and COVID-19, pressure must be relentless on China for deep changes for prevention's sake.

We have a winner! Much of the American press these days are as much propaganda operations for the Left as Chinese state run news services. The Democrats and the Chinese Communists are natural ideological allies against America’s style of Constitutional government.

What are they burning down? https://twitter.com/naochashu/status/1240279173744082944

So many unconfirmed news that comes out of China it is hard to take it as real news. However 1 fact remains, this started in China that has been proven worldwide by many researchers. They should be held accountable to restitute compensation. After all if they can afford "i.e.Chinese parents who proudly sent their children to study in New York or London are now mailing them asks and sanitizer or rushing them home on flights that can cost $25,000 at a time China was the outbreak’s global epicenter, with people dying by the hundreds each day. Without a doubt the pandemic that originated in China is migrating and starting to recirculate.

No. You are quite prone to hyperbole that is so far untethered from reality it might as well be in a different universe.

This is the equivalent of saying Fox “News” is as much of a propaganda operation for the Right as Chinese state run news services. (This is incorrect, but far more accurate than your claim given Donny’s tweets affect Fox “News’ content.) And that the Republicans and Russian right wingers are natural ideological allies against American constitutional democracy. (Again, incorrect, but far more accurate than your claim given Russia’s fondness for interfering in our elections on behalf of republicans and Republicans welcoming of that interference.)
