Wonderful.

Thanks to USA inability to make friends with anyone else who we aren’t giving money and weapons to, now all our enemies are just becoming good friends with each other.

no way this couldn’t end well, right?

-15 ( +7 / -22 )

Russia, China and the word “trust” in the same sentence. That surprised me!

8 ( +16 / -8 )

@Blacklabel

I’m pretty sure the US has more “friends” than China or Russia at this point. If anything Russia and China have pushed a lot of neutral countries closer to the US. Look at the Philippines. They made the US vacate 30 years ago and now invited them back this week and granted access to key bases because of China.

10 ( +18 / -8 )

Not something you want to be bragging about.

7 ( +12 / -5 )

I’m pretty sure the US has more “friends” than China or Russia at this point

Any that are contributing even close to equally to the friendship?

or just a bunch of hangers on and leeches pushing the USA to confront China and/or Russia on their behalf?

what is the Philippines actually contributing in return for a panicked “protect us from China” plea?

-16 ( +4 / -20 )

they'll backstab each other at the first opportunity of anything not suiting either of them

6 ( +13 / -7 )

@ Blacklabel

what is the Philippines actually contributing in return for a panicked “protect us from China” plea?

It's called "Strategic Location" for the US forces.

Just more countries disagreeing with the ccp's BS nine dash line!!

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Russia is helping China a lot more than China is helping Russia. China has a lot more that they really don’t want to lose.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

mutual political trust with Russia has continued to deepen ... do they really expect anyone to believe that??? Realpolitik and money talks. If anything China is hedging by reopening to the West. They know fully well things aren't going to plan in Ukraine and Putin could fall. China wants the flow of cheap Russian gas and oil to continue as well as access to Western markets.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

Oh... And @Blacklabel: Other than Trump, let's not try and forget that all post war Presidents have rightly made it their business as the biggest economy in the world to be the upholder of democracy and police the World.

You don't like it, cash in your citizenship and stop paying tax - Because nothing is going to change in your lifetime.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

China said on Saturday that mutual political trust with Russia has continued to deepen after Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu visited the country this week and met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

China is willing to work with Russia to implement their strategic partnership and promote further progress in their relationship, the foreign ministry also said in its statement.

So Putin and Xi are showing a little love for each other...

All they need (and want) is for Trump, Kim, and The Mullahs to join their mutual dictator admiration society...

Expect their "strategic partnership" to involve lots of effort to get Trump or a similar Repub China/Russia stooge back in the WH...

I’m not American, but I would rather live in the USA than in China or Russia a million times over.

9 ( +13 / -4 )

what is the Philippines actually contributing in return for a panicked “protect us from China” plea?

Great point, Black. The US should use it's size and brute strength to over-power poorer, economically disadvantaged countries to benefit the US monetarily.

I think there's a word for this, but I seem to have lost my dictionary. Can anyone help a brother out?

0 ( +7 / -7 )

It’s amazing what being international pariah states can do for mutual trust.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

geronimo2006 - that’s exactly where I think this is going. China risks losing every advantage they have over the west, and putting it bluntly they do have the advantage when it comes to international trade. Russia just can’t replace that for them and certain other BRICS nations are competing directly against China for western business.

Except that the US, under Biden, has galvanized NATO support against Russia. Something that Trump failed to do. In fact, Trump would have completely failed to respond to Putin's imperialism.

And in case you missed it, just before Putin's imperialistic invasion of Ukraine, China and Russia announced best friends forever. This is just a reinforcement of that, I suspect, in case Russia decides to hike gas prices etc.

China is only protecting their own interests and couldn't care less about Russia.

Because nothing is going to change in your lifetime.

it did, we all saw it.

2016-2020.

no wars, America first and lots of minding our own business unless we had to be involved.

thats why all the non Americans were super mad at paying their own way and dealing with their own issues without USA World Police coming to the military and financial rescue.

and why now the same non Americans all support good ole Joe to the death here, he spends US taxpayer money on non taxpayers and non Americans really, really well.

no wars, America first and lots of minding our own business unless we had to be involved.

I'm not buying that for a minute! If that were true, Trump would have won the election.

Let's face it, America first means America alone.

and why now the same non Americans all support good ole Joe to the death here, he spends US taxpayer money on non taxpayers and non Americans really, really well.

At least he doesn't have to pay rent, if you get my drift.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

has galvanized NATO support against Russia

sure, by paying for it and donating 90% of the weapons.

NATO countries are basically just standing behind the USA going "do something USA! we are galvanized behind you"

galvanize- shock or excite (someone) into taking action. yep and that someone is the USA.

The PI economy benefits from a base and they get protected from China as well.

The USA gets a "base". with associated costs and responsibilities to arm and staff.

Ok, if we arent taking over the world or being world police why would we need another place to spend billions of dollars a year? its not free to us, right?

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

Lol Black, why do you think the US wants bases in the Philippines? Is it just charity? Honest question.

Lol Black, why do you think the US wants bases in the Philippines? Is it just charity? Honest question.

We dont. (well maybe mentally deficient Biden does, there has to be a 10% cut in there somewhere or a company Hunter can work at or a contract one of his brothers can benefit from)

the PI does want US bases. 30+ years after kicking us out over exorbitant money demands for us to stay- they need protection because the US has helped both Russia and China united against Biden. dangerous world.

Yeah, Trump abandoned Kurdish allies in Syria:

And abandoned Ukraine:

But it's not like he didn't want to start a war:

and why now the same non Americans all support good ole Joe to the death here, he spends US taxpayer money on non taxpayers and non Americans really, really well.

Most in the US support Biden as well. He spends US taxpayers dollars on US foreign interests really well. There is no debate on this. GOP and Democrats are behind the support that the US is giving Ukraine.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

PI is 116 in the world corruption list. right there with our other new best friends who take our money and weapons.

Can the US be friends with anyone who isnt below 110+ on this list of only 180 countries?

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

We dont.

Lol is this the Queen's "we?" Clearly we do or we wouldn't have bases there. Maybe the small minority of Trump backers don't, but we'll, we had an election and they lost, so...

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Actually, Europe is paying more per capita than the US on donating arms to Ukraine.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

do "we" (the USA) have bases in the PI?

no "we" dont. But they want us to.

Maritime Affairs expert Jay Batongbacal at the University of the Philippines College of Law said this latest announcement does not necessarily mean more U.S. troops on the ground, but instead "provides mainly for the United States to be able to build infrastructure on Philippines military bases and for the pre-positioning of military supplies and equipment."

According to the Defense Department's statement, the U.S. military will utilize four new military bases in the Philippines — bringing the total number of bases in use to nine.

Anything to substantiate your claim, or is it more feelings over facts?

ah the good old "per capita" argument.

2020 COVID misses you so.

this is a total volume/total cost game not an each person we have gave 2 bullets and $1 type activity.

any article that you can Google in 5 seconds that says this partnership is at the request of the PI.

The saying "Birds of a feather flock together" springs to mind, both evil regimes

Time magazine ok for you? we are all clear what the word invite means arent we?

"It’s been more than 30 years since Philippine lawmakers moved to end the permanent U.S. military presence in the country. Previously, the U.S. operated two major bases, but many Filipinos saw the bases as a legacy of U.S. colonialism, and wanted to assert their independence.

Now, the Philippines is inviting the U.S. to increase its military footprint in the country again—giving access to four new military bases amid rising tensions with China, the two countries announced Thursday.

“By itself, the Phillipines cannot stand up to China so it does need the assistance of the United States,” says Kenneth Faulve-Montojo, an expert on Filipino politics and senior lecturer at Santa Clara University. “So from the U.S. and the Philippine perspective, it appears to be a win, win situation.”

HA! I knew it - can't go one day without inserting a clear "Hunter" off-topic comment...

Next it will be Ray Epps is Biden's new Philippine Ambassador...

ROFL...

China is China. Sure it's deepened now. But if everything goes South for Russia, you can bet your last Yuan that China is going to be looking hard at all that territory of the Russian Fareast that Russia obtained through unfair treaties with the Qing Dynasty. China may not openly say it, but that's also part of the "100 years of humiliation" at the hands of Western powers.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Made in China products can be boycotted. And in fact are being boycotted to a degree. Just avoid buying them when you can. Often there are other alternatives. It's not some light switch that you turn on and off, it's a process that takes time but will result in less demand for MIC. Many retailers have switched from China manufacture to other countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, etc. China no longer has an exclusivity to "cheap labor".

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Like it or not, 95% of the stuff you buy at Walmart, Costco or wherever you shop is made in China in a factory powered by Russian energy made from plastic from Russian oil.

If the product you paid for has those 2 ubiquitous words (Made in China), you just funded Putin's war machine.

What are you going do about that?

Good question for you to ask this guy...

How do I already know its gonna be some type of random and off topic video that speaks about Trump in a negative way?

Anyone who seriously believes that standing by our allies has not boosted the US standing in the world, and that invading or threatening to invade their neighbors has not Joliet the standing of both China and Russia needs to stop taking drugs or they should consider starting a course of antipsychotics.
