Chinese culture has no theistic belief. It's been like that for 5000 years. It's not about to change. Besides, Christianity and other theistic religions are so hypocritical as evidenced by European colonial history that the Chinese are wise not to adapt them.

That's not my understanding. Gods abound in Chinese history and culture. That they didn't settle on one of them or perhaps don't accord them fully supreme attributes doesn't mean there are no theistic beliefs. I suspect the CCP's fear is not of weird beliefs but of religious organizations.

Throwing religious people out of the party is a bit extreme.

China has been an oppressor of religion for a long time. I don’t know what ‘setting up’ means here. It’s not s new path.

Party members who have religious belief should have strengthened thought education.

Ms Hanson is a nobody in world politics. An irrelevance. Australia has freedom of religion. Look it up. Clearly what China does is far more important than Ms Hanson. Anti religious fanaticism is no better than religious fanaticism. The CCP wants to be the only "divine entity" that the Chinese are forced to worship. And the CCP had better be careful with that line of thought since some folks are known for going out of their way to destroy their "gods".

Even western Christians fair better in the pecking order of the Quran than atheists and non-theists in general, including those that follow Confucius.
