Oh wow look at that. Another win!

President Trump won the trade war, as we knew all along he would.

As much as I dislike the many dumb things Trump says, he sure does know how to negotiate a great deal.

Chinese put up the white flag when they realized how bad it could get for their economy fighting a trade war and Coronovirus. It seems fate is with Trump. On the bad side it probably means Coronovirus is going to be really bad.

Coronovirus won the trade war! He is just sleazy enough to claim the glory!

Trumps policy is working here. But trust the fake "mainstream media" to somehow turn that into another anti-Trump story.

Great Victory for Trump. No presidents of USA was dare to do this. Look at Europe and other nations still they are afraid of touching the nerve of China. Only Trump can do this. He is going to be the greatest leader and savior of free world.

Is this enough to make up for the supply chain disruptions that will be kicking in with much of China on open ended lock down? How to keep backed up ports from delaying the imported goods?

It’s not a win, it’s called going back to square one.

Hopefully, in less than a year, the dumb trade wars will be over.

yet 3yrs ago there were no tariffs on American agriculture goods now China is reviving them back to

5% still more than before the trade war. So basically 2 steps back one step forward and still not even back to were they started. , meanwhile US farmers are going bankrupt in record numbers, US market share has taken a massive hit as Chinese buyers are now buying cheaper agriculture goods from Brazil, Argentina .

US exporter are still far from where they were 3yrs ago, winning indeed!? if this is winning Id hate to see what losing is. LMFAO

Meanwhile Airbus is taking share away from Boeing in China and Tesla has opened in Chinese giga factory

to build cheaper cars than what the US giga factory every will, no need to import those US built cars anymore.

Why is it that anything not praising Trump as godlike or the best thing ever is seen as fake mainstream media anti-Trump? That’s just weird.

As much as I dislike the many dumb things Trump says, he sure does know how to negotiate a great deal.

phase 1 of a deal and they're not even back to square 1 yet, tariffs are still in place, damage to US agriculture has been done, farmers bankrupt in record numbers and market share lost to other countries.

As Bloomberg that far richer and more successful billionaire quoted of Trump "running a golf course is the only job I would hire him for."

Why is it that you make things up and then complain about what you made up?

Zaphod:

there is a comment here complaining about fake mainstream media anti-Trump stories. If it’s about this story here, which is very much Trump neutral, then someone else has put their own fake spin on it because it hasn’t praised Trump. If it isn’t about this particular story then it is completely off topic. It’s weird, and no it isn’t made up.

I was thinking that this was a good thing, but then... after the "gilead sciences" bit, where they gave the virus cure to China, who then promptly Patented it, and only allow free-use to those "who help China"... made me wonder... and investigate... could "Gilead Sciences" be "owned" by the Chinese CCP members... ?

China needs to trade with the USA more than the USA needs to trade with China.

Haa Nemui:

You claimed that "anything not praising Trump as godlike or the best thing ever is seen as fake mainstream media anti-Trump". I have not seen anybody demanding that Trump be praised as god like or the best thing ever. Can you point us to the posts you are refering to?

China needs to trade with the USA more than the USA needs to trade with China.

Seeing the until now gigantic trade surpluses and merits to China (among others geting free technology and violating labor standards, environmental standards and intellectual property rights with no punishment at all), I would tend to agree. Of course, there are big companies in the US that benefit hugely from having products made by slave labour in China and dumping them in the US, so they would like the situation of the last decade to continue. (Just look at your smartphone...)

that’s correct. I did say that and I said that because there are people who regularly comment on this site that like to view him as such. Godlike is an exaggeration but not a big one. Best thing ever is not an exaggeration. Please answer the question though.

China said on Thursday it will halve punitive tariffs on $75 billion in U.S. imports from Feb 14,

the same day Washington is expected to halve tariffs on $120 billion worth of Chinese products.

Other retaliatory tariffs, however, remain in place.

Who's getting more tariffs cut
