Sure, sure, just as soon as you compensate the WORLD for your contamination of it.

China stop building military bases around the pacific on disputed territory, china stop your human rights abuses, china stop being the regional bully, china stop unfair trade practices, china stop stealing intellectual property, china how about playing by the rules everyone else adheres to !

Biden, do not get weak towards China!

China asks for America to remove trade restrictions while it is hitting a US ally Australia with trade barriers and tariffs of its own.

Boycott made/grown in China!

Anything you want, but first cooperate and show the outbreak’s first lab and hospital data and give a detailed hint on how to put that nanometer Pandora back into its box. lol

+1 all of the above.

a bit rich to demand US to stop interference, when china does exactly that at every oppotunity it gets, and then pays the racism card (wtf race is china?) when others call out its own actions.

is there even a chinese word for "hypocritical"? cos they certainly act like they have nfi what it means...

No way. Also cancel the China Olympic games. Cut them off

The 80+ companies that indirectly include the forced labour of Uyghurs in their supply chains should be boycotted too.

Many of these are well known brands.

This was I think the ONLY part of trump I agreed with, get tougher with China.

As I have been saying for decades, the world MUST stop feeding the monster that is China(the govt not its people)!!

The longer we wait the higher the ultimate price that will need to be paid.

Yes, the US should stop interfering on China’s affairs and just re-establish diplomatic ties with da-kine democratic ‘ally’ Taiwan-ROC no matter what Beijington says otherwise!

China is asking U.S. to lift trade restrictions where as I think along with U.S. every country must restrict there trade with China. Where as in the conversation between the presidents of both the nation R. Biden asked China not to continue its cruelty and it must stop practicing its anti- human policy and expansion policy. And as the world is aware how it has created mess in Myanmar, Tibet, Hong-Kong and so on. And how it violates its own citizens rights. Now world has realized that it has turned into a global threat and it must be cured soon.

Trump wouldn't know the meaning of the word policy even if he owned a dictionary. And there is every possibility that as the Trump brand goes south the trashy Trumpware made in China may soon be toast.

As usual a lot of rhetoric but zero substance.

Yet China has not invaded any country recently unlike the Americans. What if China would interfere with American internal affairs like how non white people are treated by police, etc. The USA supports anti China movements with money and perhaps weapons. What would happen if China did the same? Oh but all of the Chinese overseas bases, how many bases does the US have overseas? Still the USA should remove tariffs just to get trade going, then how are the American farmers doing under tariff actions? Will President Biden give them billions of dollars?

Yet China has not invaded any country recently unlike the Americans.

China invaded Tibet in the 1950's, India in the 1962 border dispute, Vietnam in 1979 and continues to threaten to invade Taiwan. China has invaded the South China sea and made structures that it has weaponized in attempts to control international waters and the EEZ's of other nations.

but all of the Chinese overseas bases, how many bases does the US have overseas?

Many bases the US maintains overseas were established during WWII when the US and its allies "saved China" or were established after winning WWII and during the cold war to protect democracy and allies around the world. Who does China protect around the world? Oh only North Korea which borders China.

Still the USA should remove tariffs just to get trade going,

China should remove tariffs on the US and Australia and any other nation it currently penalizes for not doing precisely what China wants and set the example for the US to follow. Why does it not?

China is a bad world citizen. Boycott it and its goods and services.

What I am trying to say is the US while not bad is not so great. There needs to be peace on Earth and mindless attacks on another country threaten the peace. After all the American Tariffs on Japan was one of the reasons for the Pacific War. You can back a country into a corner in which it means fight or perish. China may not be able to back down without a loss of face.

After all the American Tariffs on Japan was one of the reasons for the Pacific War. You can back a country into a corner in which it means fight or perish.

America stopped trading oil with Japan because of its ongoing invasion of China. Japan could have chosen peace to restore normal trade with America but chose to expand its war to include America and the rest of the pacific and others.

China may not be able to back down without a loss of face.

China can choose loss of face over war or hostilities and it would be the correct choice. Choosing hostilities is is rarely the correct choice.

Peter14, yet it is the same problem that China faces today an unacceptable loss of face. What will the Americans ask for next?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

YuriOtani Just because China puts itself in a position to lose face does not mean others should have to pay for it. China needs to suck it up and realise what it has done and is doing is wrong and admit it, losing face in the process, rather than to condemn both itself and other nations to a situation that can mean massive loss of life to all involved. China just doesnt have the stones to deal honestly with anyone even itself.
