Given the experiences in other countries, we can be pretty certain that the numbers are still massively under-reported. Given that there was initially no awareness of the virus, it would have spread even more rapidly than in Europe and the US.

When this was initially getting started the only data we had was the data coming from China. Now that we have data coming from other countries all Chinese data should just be ignored.

The test kits produced in China have also proven to be ineffective or extremely limited in accurately identifying cases. Even PCR testing in the West is still way too insensitive. Even if they are trying to make an honest assessment, bad science is bad science. And it is as scary as bad government.

I would rather trust what the door-to-door sales people said than trust the figures given by Xi Jinping and his dishonest, corrupt, and unethical government.

And EVERY country is going to be revising its numbers on both those things, usually upwards (those who switched to the 'presumed positive' standard as enough data had been gathered and analyzed to do so when they did might have set their criteria for the presumption in a way that includes lots of non Covid19 flus and colds and pneumonia in their data, and as the knowledge base expands and evolves, their numbers will drop as the raw data gets put through analysis based on the more informed criteria)

Not that the folks who WANT to find a way to blame or demonize China and/or the WHO will care, or revise their opinions as the Japanese, and American (and Canadian) counts get revisited and revised based on NEW knowledge gathered in the 6 months before someone first suspected that some of the flood of flu cases they were seeing weren't quite the same. Though 25M cell phones plans have disappeared since December in China and cremation urns have been ordered there. A single funeral home received 2500 urns daily for two days. Another received 3500 urns. So that's 8500 in 2 funeral homes in Wuhan. NYC (also 8M people) has about 80 funeral homes ... so There were under 14K cremations in Wuhan in the last quarter of 2018, for reference. First of all, just about everyone here acknowledges that China CCP is a brutal dictatorship that lies, covers up, not to be trusted, is diabolical and machiavellian in their methodology, and known to kill millions of its own people without remorse.

It is no secret that the Chinese CCP wants to dominate the Pacific region economically, ideologically and control the markets and be a global superpower. Imperial Japan tried to do the same back in the 1930s but made the mistake trying to do so militarily and the result was total defeat and destruction to Japan in 1945. This fact has not gone unnoticed by the CCP.

China has been successful in dominating many industry markets by being the primary supplier of goods and services ranging from textiles to machinery to electronics to pharmaceuticals, etc. With its Belt and Road Initiative, it aims to control supply lines and infrastructure throughout the world. And in doing so it is working toward becoming a global superpower to surpass and displace the U.S.

But China has not yet been successful in displacing the U.S. and its allies as a global superpower. They know it can't be achieved through military force.

The CCP (along with DPRK and Russia) has been keeping notes of the effect the COVID-19 has on the world, e.g. disrupting industries and workforce, creating havoc to other countries' economic system, killing and instilling fear in people.........all performed without resorting to weapons of destruction and at same time appearing peaceful.

What better way to achieving a "Pearl Harbor" surprise attack on the world and creating economic havoc and fear via germ warfare. The COVID-19 is a test for things to come and testing of the feasibility of waging germ warfare.

Many here will dismiss this as conspiracy, but you can't dismiss CCP's ideological and global aims as "conspiracy". You can't deny the fact the virus originated in Wuhan and the existence of a virology lab in Wuhan as conspiracy either. You can't dismiss CCP's behavior and hesitancy to immediately notify the world of the virus, manipulating WHO, suppressing news internally, infecting thousands of their own people to the virus and allowing them to travel abroad during the Chinese New Year celebration while unwittingly infecting the world as conspiracy,

Also, the fact that this virus is unlike any previous known virus also raises suspicions.

Finally, given the CCP and their way of doing things, i.e., using whatever means to justifying the ends, they wouldn't hesitate to utilize something like germ warfare to achieve their ultimate goals.
