Much of China's large annual trade surplus is building a large navy and air force lol China soesnt even come close to the $600billion the US spend on its military each year.
Would it not be better to say, "Will employee your kids." that would be fine if all US kids where treated equally, but Trump wants the dreamers out even though they were born American citizens

"will employ your White kids"
Would it not be better to say, "Will employee your kids."

Much of China's large annual trade surplus is building a large navy and air force. China is on the march, occupying territory in the East China Sea and no one stands in their way . . . and they know it.
Remember the nation of Tibet.

With America being the top economy in the world, you're correct. We need to redistribute America's wealth back to the rest of the world, and stopped being robbed by America.
Ray Payne
With America's 800 billion annual trade deficit, it is time for a fair playing field.
There are some that miss the point, as to what America wants- fair trade and that is all.
With fair trade, let the chips fall where they may.
Why is it so difficult, for some to understand- fair trade?
YuriOtani
Yet not all of the trade surplus stays in China. A lot of the profit in China is made by US firms operating in China.

George Bush, a committed free-trader, anti-tariffi conservative, "business-friendly" globalist, had been in office for 7.5 years when the global economy melted down.
"Welfare" had nothing to do with it. In fact, ramped-up govt spending was a big reason the US recovered so quickly.

This comment makes no sense and here is why
-It's spoonfed Hanity Crapola.
-President George W. Bush was in office when the 2008 bubble burst occurred.
-It had nothing to do with government handouts and more to do with deregulation leading to risky.-Illegal Aliens probably are a greater benefit to the economy than harm. It's cheaper labor (good for industry) leading towards cheaper prices (good for consumers) and their lack of documentation means they don't require any insurance/benefits. Probably the only negative of undocumented people is they can't be taxed.
-It's more commonly accepted that the current economy is a result of President Obama's late first term and second term policies and this is a continuation of the trends that those policies initiated. Trump had very little to do with the current economy. It's more likely his reversal on a lot of those policies will lead do a weaker economy in the 2020's. Especially when you launch a trade war... I mean read on world trade from the 1880s-1910s. We learned a long time ago tariffs were a bad practice.

I'm pretty sure the owners of those "lost factories" will employ your White kids and grandkids with average salary of $5 a day theyve already got 10 million Mexcians that happily do that...oops hold on ....hold the line....hold the wall...hold my beer. ah whatever hold make you feel good.

With America's 800 billion annual trade deficit, it is time for a fair playing field. there will never be a fair playing field as long as America is addicted to cheap imports, there will always be countries that can manufacturer at considerable cheaper cost than US workers, as the US increases the cost of manufacturing by the tariffs they impose on imported materials more American companies will diversify their manufacturing to cheaper countries to avoid tariffs on their exports, Harley Davidson already doing just this in Thailand and Tesla raising prices in China. GM selling more vehicles to Chinese than they do AMericans
Only incompetent management would keep all their manufacturing in the US.
wtfjapan
When China starts closing factories and America starts rebuilding it's lost factories- China will fold. rebuilding lost factories LOL thats a good one, theres probably 10 asian countries other than China that can manufacture the same products with a considerably cheaper workforce, cant tarriff everybody who want to import into the US, even if you could it highly likely the US wouldnt be competitive with all the reciprocal tariffs on their exports, US will never again be a competitive exporter without huge government subsidies and tax breaks, If the US want to continue to do this then there should be no complaints when other countries do the same.
Ray Payne
No doubt other countries, with unfair trade practices such as Japan, are quaking in their boots as to what is going to happen next.
Trump is determined for China stop dumping, insisting on fair trade. It is amazing the steps that have to be taken to get fair trade.
With America's 800 billion annual trade deficit, it is time for a fair playing field. This should not be difficult for anyone to understand.
Ray Payne
Go for it President Trump, up the ante to 500 billion, China has much more to lose compared to the US. When China starts closing factories and America starts rebuilding it's lost factories- China will fold. It is only then, that they will they stop dumping- and settle for fair trade.

Pete: "Does anyone know if he's released his tax info?'
Rachel Maddow already got his 2005 returns and found he paid a higher tax rate than Obama or Bernie. Hee hee!
Oh my...

yes with all the welfare handouts under the President back then no wonder it collapsed. This time, unemployment down, welfare down, illegal aliens out, and most importantly, consumer confidence up.
A bit different. Almost as delusional as giving Obama credit for current economic success. nice try

Hold the line!

One can only hope China starts to target trump enterprises at home with 1000% tarifs. I have no idea why they aren’t to be fair.
The bully will only understand a kick in the nads.

Does anyone know if he's released his tax info? why would he do that, itll show he has far more debt than his assets are worth. Hes just not as rich as he continually brags about

Where's the subprime lenders? Where's the toxic securities? subprime auto loans delinquency rates are higher than before the GFC, there are ove $1 trillion of auto loans in the US.

So much for the tax breaks; it'll pay for the extra tariff costs

Donald J. Trump continues to be the biggest threat to U.S. national security and world order.
JeffLee
It doesn't remind me of 2008 at all. Back then a globalist elitist was in the White House, who told us free trade was a "win-win" proposition.
Where's the subprime lenders? Where's the toxic securities?
Strangerland
Reminds me of early 2008, except that almost no one realized the economy was about to collapse.
Dango bong
OMG listen to yourself. Have you seen the latest economic numbers? The way China is taking advantage of the US it can only get better.
JeffLee
The US and others would be shut out if they don't do anything now. The aim of China's government's "Made in China 2025" initiative is make the country self-sufficient and globally dominant in the most strategic industries. That entails stealing foreign technology, transferring to local companies then kicking out the foreigners when they're no longer needed. Look it up.
PTownsend
With the possible exception of his daughter's businesses and perhaps others he and the TrumpKushner syndicate have invested in. They should continue to prosper. But that's all he cares about. American consumers? When has Trump ever cared one iota about them?
Does anyone know if he's released his tax info?

Trumps going to screw up all the hard work American companies have invested in China, Chinese gov can easily ratchet up the anti US sentiment , China is the largest consumer market if the US get shut out of that growth for US companies will implode. China is far from over in this war. Trump is going to screw the US consumer / economy in more ways than he realizes. Meanwhile Asia, EU, Canada, Mexico are all moving closer to China, exactly the opposite of what the US should be doing. Trump is a frigin moron
